Appendix N aficionados take note! Now in our online store: reprints of several essential issues of Weird Tales. These particular issues feature the first appearance of early (and now famous) work by Robert E. Howard, H.P. Lovecraft, Abraham Merritt, Manly Wade Wellman, and others reproduced as originally presented in publication, with all the original illustrations- including the first Conan illustrations by Margaret Brundage!

These are the works that inspired Gary Gygax to create D&D, which further had a huge influence on DCC RPG. Put some true pieces of roleplaying history on your shelf.

Forgotten Treasure

Whose crazy idea was it to do a DCC RPG holiday module? How much Scandinavian folklore can Michael Curtis fit in a digest sized module? And what does Blue Oyster Cult have to do with all of it?

This installment answers those questions as we take a look at the very first DCC Holiday Module!

DCC #81 is an adventure that oozes with dark Appendix N flavor. Eyeballs, earthworms, a curse, and one of the most memorable covers of the entire DCC line make it destined to be a dungeon crawl classic in every sense.
Learn the unorthodox way this module happened and delve into the recesses of Jobe Bittman’s brain to see where this weirdness came from!
The hook for DCC #73 is pretty straightforward: the archmage Emirikol has gone crazy, terrifying the city and slaughtering people! Brave adventurers are needed to defeat him. But since it’s a DCC module by Michael Curtis, you know it’s not quite as simple as it sounds.
Just how does one create an adventure based on a classic piece of D&D art? How does Bruce Lee’s final movie figure into it? These questions and more are answered within.
