These particular issues feature the first appearance of early (and now famous) work by Robert E. Howard, H.P. Lovecraft, Abraham Merritt, and others reproduced as originally presented in publication, with all the original illustrations- including the first Conan illustrations by Margaret Brundage!
These are the works that inspired Gary Gygax to create D&D, which further had a huge influence on DCC RPG. Put some true pieces of roleplaying history on your shelf.
The August 1926 issue features beautifully restored cover art by C. Barker Petrie, Jr. (illustrating a Merritt story) and includes these stories:
