A few days back we mentioned that we took a trip to our main warehouse up in Fort Wayne, IN. While we were there, we poked around the warehouse…and found some things.
We found a treasure-trove of items and materials that we thought were long out-of-print or no longer available. Variant items that were produced for special events that ended up in the corners of the warehouse until some nosey folks came along in September of 2018 and dug them out of the dust. Most of them are variant editions of product that is otherwise available, so if you’re just buying the module or book for play purposes then you only need one copy. On the other hand, if you’re a dedicated collector you probably want all the variances.
Did you know Goodman Games has sold variant editions at cons that previously weren’t available anywhere else? The variant editions often have the con name and year printed on them. In some cases they were released before the corresponding title went to the public as a whole. For example with DCC #79: Frozen in Time, the sketch edition released at North Texas RPG Con before the general-distribution edition, and features the con logo on the back to show it.
