A new “bearded star” appears in the sky. Astrologers have dubbed it, Serbok, the ancient word for “serpent”. Serbok’s appearance inspires numerous rumours of ill-omen, as comets are wont to do. Days later, woodcutters report a lake and large tower have appeared in the nearby forest. The PCs are charged with finding out the purpose of the strange structure.
