Support Return of the Ripper on Kickstarter — now live! Return of the Ripper is an urban horror investigation adventure for Dungeon Crawl Classics RPG. It features brand new cover art by Jeff Dee, with interior art by Chris Holmes and horror comics illustrator Arjuna Susini.
The adventure is an homage to and a remix of Goodman Games’ DC24 Legend of the Ripper, which is about to celebrate its 20th anniversary. It’s not a simple conversion of Legend of the Ripper, nor is it a sequel. It’s more like a reboot, which preserves the most memorable and inventive encounters from the original adventure, but significantly expands and reinterprets the original story.
One of the new elements in this adventure is the investigation of the murders, in four brand new and fully-detailed city districts, which could be dropped into Punjar’s Smoke ward or another grimy fantasy city in your campaign. The module also includes four dungeon-like adventuring locales where the mystery unfolds, and features new antagonists and a rewritten climax and finale. The ensemble is a mini-campaign for low-level characters which can play out over several weeks or months.
