A Great Time at Lexicon!

Trevor Stamper reports from last weekend’s Lexicon:

Over April 5-7th a record 764 folks came together to play board and roleplaying games at the 11th annual Lexicon! Four-day and Saturday attendance records were smashed as badge sales were limited to prevent overcrowding! Goodman Games was present to witness the fun and join in the celebration.

While we lost at the convention wide “heads and tails” game, we did catch a lot of attention with our booth as people flocked to check out “the band” and gather for several impromptu games. Dice were slung, 0-levels funneled, and a domestic goose became the hero of the sessions as it defended its farmer!

Lexicon has several cool groups that celebrate the weekend with them, including the Bluegrass Mountain Rangers, who came dressed as GI Joe characters and even brought their own life-size Cobra jeep with missile launcher, and the Western Kentucky Ghostbusters group, who had some serious proton packs and ghostbusting paraphenalia on display. The Goodman booth joined in on the annual ghost hunt, and children of all ages haunted our booths looking for ghosts to bust.

Lexicon has a weekend-long duck hunting competition for younger children, and many a youth carefully observed our booth for hidden ducks. Some two-dozen ducks were captured in this manner over the weekend! It was a fun weekend, with many groups launching north for the 2024 solar eclipse watching straight from the convention grounds.
