Land Sharks
A collection of rocky ‘Land-Shark’ monsters for 28mm games, including 2 different Large-sized sharks and one Medium-sized shark.
Pre-supported and unsupported files included. Also includes simple printable figure bases.
Sharks in the water are terrifying enough, but sharks that can ‘swim’ under the ground are even worse nightmare fuel. Whether we’re talking about Bullettes from D&D, Seps from Gamma World, or Graboids from Tremors, landsharks make for iconic adversaries in any rpg!
My version of the Land Shark concept has thick rocky skin that facilitates its undergound travels and makes it difficult to damage in combat. It moves through the earth by using a form of telekinesis to dig its tunnels and push dirt out of the way, but it also had powerful foreclaws and long hind tentacles to help it move even faster.
All Dark-Platypus Studios models are sculpted by sculptor Andrew K. Barlow (me), and no AI is ever involved. All models have been checked for errors and test-printed.
These Land-sharks were sculpted as potential Stretch Goals for the original Mutant Mayhem Minis kickstarter project I ran in 2018. The stretch goal level was not reached, but a few landsharks were nonetheless produced and distributed to a few backers that really wanted them. Now however, they are available here as 3D models!
