The bucolic hills and meadows of the Wideland hide a terrible evil. When a halfling Thane begins construction on a new and expansive house under a hill, the excavations turn up something long forgotten by the sun; the remains of a Chaos Lord. Slowly, the Thane, his workers, and even his pets, are succumbing to the malignant, demonic energies, changing them in unimaginable ways. Can the PCs venture underneath the earth and stem the forces of Chaos before they overtake the peaceful halfling countryside?
For 4 – 6 level 1 PCs.
