Chapter 13 Press Presents: Tales of the Fallen Empire
100 years have passed since the tribes of man revolted and slew the Sorcerer Kings and the seven kingdoms have begun to rebuild, carving new lives and hopes out of the ashes of the old. Slowly, the Sorcerer Kings ancient empire is vanishing from men’s minds like pain fades as a wound heals. However, even as life continues an ancient and forgotten evil stirs awaiting its moment to strike against mankind.
Journey to a war torn land where the struggle for survival continues as new empires arise to impose their will upon the masses, where vicious warlords fight to control territories carved out of fallen kingdoms. Imposing magicians emerge claiming the legacy of the Sorcerer Kings. High priests of long forgotten gods and goddesses amass wealth in the name of divine right while warrior-priests, devoted to a banished god, patrol the lands bringing justice to people abandoned by their rulers.
In the south, savage Orchrin, magically created ape-like soldiers from the last war, plot against humanity. To the east, The Emirate of Khurzastan wages war against the Empire of Ithmyrr hoping to drive the First Men from the realms. From the north the Barbarians of Untemyrr journey south seeking adventure and relics of the previous age.
Tales of the Fallen Empire is a classic swords and sorcery setting compatible with the Dungeon Crawl Classics Role Playing Game. Within these pages is a detailed post-apocalyptic fantasy setting which guides you through an ancient realm that is fighting for its survival against implacable foes.
Within this campaign setting you will find:
6 new classes: Barbarian, Witch, Lizard-Man, Wanderer, Man-Ape, & Pirate
Revised Wizard Class (The Sorcerer)
New Spells
New Creatures
Survival & Scrounging Rules
A detailed setting inspired by the works of Fritz Lieber, Robert Howard, Lynn Carter, H. P. Lovecraft, Michael Moorcock, and Roger Corman.
Tighten the straps on your sandals, gird your loins, grab your sword, and head forth into a land of trouble and turmoil. Adventure awaits those foolhardy to enter the wastelands or for those who fear not the unknown.

Wow. Other than Lin Carter, you've just listed off a whole bunch of my favorite authors at one time. I'm excited about this!

Just curious ... what font did you use in the module title? It's a neat one!

Hey all, Ben Morgan here, art director for Fallen Empire (among other things). My job on this one is to ensure that, if nothing else, the book is at least very pretty to look at (though James will make absolutely certain that it's much more than that).
The fonts used in the title are Rosemary Roman, and Moria Citadel (which is very similar to Satan's Minions, but has more characters available).
The artwork itself was done by the very talented Eric Quigley, whose awesomeness I can't stress enough. I slapped the titles & logos on using Xara Designer Pro, my go-to software for all things involving vector illustration and desktop publishing.

Bumping because it took so long for me to approve. Post twice again, Ben, and you won't to wait on our side anymore. (It's a pain, but a small price to pay for keeping all the Russian porn out of the forums.)ad1066 wrote:Hey all, Ben Morgan here, art director for Fallen Empire (among other things). My apologies as well, since I'm always trying to approve posts at least 1-2 times per day. Somehow that one slipped past me. (I must have been distracted by all those cool Russian porn links.)Harley Stroh wrote:Bumping because it took so long for me to approve. Re: Chapter 13 Press Presents: Tales of the Fallen Empire
how'd the playtest go?? Any news? I'm very curious about these classes!
Re: Chapter 13 Press Presents: Tales of the Fallen Empire
I must say this sound very very promising. Any idea how the classes may behave in non-Fallen Empire campaign? Are they very setting specific?
Re: Chapter 13 Press Presents: Tales of the Fallen Empire
Any more ino on this? Release date? Previews? Link for ordering? Pricing?

Re: Chapter 13 Press Presents: Tales of the Fallen Empire
I'm dying to know when this will be released myself. Out of all of the third party works, this is the one I have to get first. That being said, ALL 3PP adventures look good.

Just read the product description for this and you've piqued my interest as well.
Will grab the PDF at the very least, and if it's good you may grab more gp's from me for your further products.

Wait...why are we keeping that out?!?
Re: Chapter 13 Press Presents: Tales of the Fallen Empire
I am interested in seeing how the Survival and scrounging rules work. As well as, are there Weapon Relic of a forgotten age, (eg, Laser Pistols, Plasma Rifles, Crew-served weapons, Vehicles?)
There comes a point in time when it all comes down to the roll of a die!
