Hello. A while back I was posting on this thread and enjoying the game. Suddenly I was unable to access the website from home. I thought the site was down, didn't think much more of it. Was able to post the next day at work for a while then same problem. Left it alone for a while and went back but still not able to load the site. Friends able to. I am able to post elsewhere. ???

Went to Gary con. Able to access the site on iPad. I am not tech savy but this problem seems limited to any IP address I use for too long. I believe someone connected with this thread has locked my home and work IP from this site. I am able to access from other locations though I am afraid that they too may become inaccessible to me.

Asking that if you are able to please help me fix this. I Will not post in this thread anymore. I just want to be able to access the site for news and updates from the above mentioned locations. If you can help let me know. Romprecentor(at)yahoo(dot)com. Thank you.

That's. Just. Bizarre.

Wish I was more tech savvy myself, and could suggest a solution. :?

I seriously doubt that's really the case. Maybe his wife blocked the site. :-)

I had some trouble several months ago connecting, thought the site was down for a few days. Turned out there was just something dead in between us, I guess. Not sure what the deal was, or might be in your case.

Some time passes. Everyone seems to be resting. Orastes gets nervous standing alone in the dark on the other side of the open pit.

/ooc Sorry guys, I was busy this weekend with a bunch of F2F gaming. :]

Orastes retrieves a torch of his own and lights it. He peers down the hallway too afraid of more traps to continue on.

He says to the group, "Someone get down on their belly and try and look under the floor where I am standing. I will hold the torch below so you can look. Do you see any more trap doors?"

Bypeld lays flat on the floor and tries to look under the hallway towards the direction of Orastes.

"We could tie one end of this rope around you as well, just for extra precaution..."

Hector lies on his belly and tries to look under the floor over by Orastes, while Darrow and Chendriss hold his feet in case he slips.

-- If someone could hold on to their belts, so much the better.

It doesn't look like there's any more trap doors, but your view is rather limited. That's a tough angle. But, it LOOKS like the cavern roof below doesn't reach back up to the passageway. Of course, you might be able to tell better by looking up, from below, but ... there's a large, moving, angry statue down there.

Hector quickly wriggles back up to his feet. "Nope. Looks safe as far as I can see."

"What say you, Orastes? Do we all try to join you -- or shall you leap to our side and we continue from here?" says Chendriss with a wry expression.

Well, I know of at least four that are willing and able to hold that rope.

Actually, I can't imagine anyone not being willing...

Orastes ties the rope around his waist using a looping knot he often uses to lower coffins into the ground.

/ooc How's that for a skill check. :P

He then moves back 10' feet carefully testing each step before putting his full weight down.

He runs and jumps.

He makes it without too much trouble. His second foot slips a bit off the edge, but he's leaning forward enough that it doesn't matter. The others quickly untie the rope from around his waist, and now the party may resume doing whatever it wants ...

Cake and vodka all around!

..Meanwhile, I think there were some doors that we didn't check yet on this side of the pit. Let's listen at the first door we get back to, unless someone thinks there is another door with more priority.

Tonunt will gladly poke the floor and whatever else needs prodding as they venture forward.

The hallways of the ruin are quiet as the grave. The flickering torchlight makes shadows gyrate wildly along the corridor as you walk, tap-tap-tapping with the 10 foot pole, meek as mice. Returning to the west, the corridor turns north, and the door to the west (from whence you came, from upstairs) is still open. Some ten feet to your north, there's a door on the eastern wall. Listening at the door you hear nothing. About thirty or forty feet north the corridor turns to the west.

Hector will see if Tonunt is willing to advance with him enough to peek around the corner. Assuming he is, they check the floor leading up to the corner and then Hector peers around it, trusting his infravision to show him anything amiss. He also sniffs for gold.
