Honolulu is about equidistant from NZ and TN. If I do one there, will you both show up?

A DCC playtest at SIEGE would actually be enough for me to shell out the money and attend.

The Dicehead Games stores are great - I visited both locations a couple years ago. Unfortunately there are more states than qualified DMs at the moment so, no, no plans to run at Siege or Midsouthcon.

I can't make SIEGE but by request, I will be running a game at Dicehead Games! The playtest game will be the evening of Friday, June 17. Additional details (such as exact time) to be announced over the coming weeks. If you'd like to be involved, PM me or email me at joseph@goodman-games.com so I can keep you in the loop!

Man, I really need to hire an editor. Oh, wait, I do have one.
I need to get him reading my posts!
That's JUNE 17. JUNE 17!
Hopefully that makes more sense. Post edited. And now - will I see you guys in Tennessee??

Honestly since freerpgday is the next day, it doesn't make a whole lot of economic sense for me to make the drive. Gas is expensive and I have to worry about the damn government shutting down my job every other week now days. sigh... Maybe if things change before then.goodmangames wrote:Man, I really need to hire an editor. Oh, wait, I do have one.I need to get him reading my posts!

Wait till you see what we're giving out for Free RPG Day. Because if that's your pick of the Free RPG Day loot, I'll have copies for players that Friday night which may be worth substituting the Saturday drive.
Re: Any playtest games at the Dicehead SIEGE con in Chattano
So Free RPG day not really making it to NZ (we only have a handful of actual games stores mostly concentrating on WH40K type minis games); what from that day is available from the interent? Or is it all packs that get sent to participating stores?

The Free RPG Day module will be available for sale after Free RPG Day. Definitely as a PDF and, if we have any left over, as a print copy as well. So you should be able to still enjoy it.Machpants wrote:So Free RPG day not really making it to NZ (we only have a handful of actual games stores mostly concentrating on WH40K type minis games); what from that day is available from the interent? Randomly...where in New Zealand do you live?
Re: Any playtest games at the Dicehead SIEGE con in Chattano

Machpants, I'm going to be in and around Auckland in the middle of July. Google Maps says it's over eight hours' drive from Martinborough, but if you can make it I'll be glad to run a DCC RPG playtest for you and any other gamers you might know in the area! It would please me no end to have a play report from Waitomo Caves, for example.
Co-author: Forgotten Heroes: Fist, Fang, and Song and Scythe and Shroud; Heroes' Handbook: Eladrin; and two finished Goodman projects that haven't been announced yet, with others on the drawing board!

Wow a great offer, thanks. 9 odd hours is just a little to far for me to go... although obviously you are going farther! I don't know any gamers from Auckland, apart from online. Thanks though, I feel guilty for turning down such a splendid offerTavis wrote:Machpants, I'm going to be in and around Auckland in the middle of July. Shucks, so (relatively) near and yet so far! I'd be glad for a referral to any gamers in the area you know online, or pointers to a forum where I could make contacts? My wife does an overseas meeting of the International Neuropsychological Society every summer and I like to tag along and meet local gamers; last year I hooked up with some cool folks in Krakow through http://polter.pl/, and three years ago I got to play with James Raggi at Ropecon in Finland.

I will send out some feelers, would you be OK if I put an sorta announcement on ENW and RPGNet to stir some interest? Possible DCC RPG Playtest game in July, Auckland NZ? Who knows I could work on the wife to see if I cold make it
Cheers
