Promoting Goodman Games' DCC's

Post by tacojohn4547 »

Goodman Games --

There’s a small convention coming up in my area in March. It’s really a small-town con, but they have a charity auction for which they solicit donations. I was thinking that an easy way to generate a little free publicity for Goodman Games in general, and for two of my favorite DCC releases in particular, would be for me to donate a copy of the two addy’s to the charity auction.

But here’s where the idea doubles down on the free publicity. In order for me to get the modules for the charity auction, I special order them from my LGS. That initiates a dialogue between the LGS guys and a DCC fan. (The LGS I’m thinking of already carries a few Troll Lord and Necromancer titles, just never seen any of the Goodman Games releases in their shop.)

Would this be of interest to Goodman Games? Would this kind of free publicity be of any use to you? Would you have any concerns or legal issues with this?

I've sent a similar question to the guys at Necromancer Games and Troll Lord Games. Note that I'm not trying to sneak some free modules - I'll buy them through the LGS. I'm just trying to help out some of my favorite RPG publishers at a time when there's not a lot of love to go around.

Either way, thanks for all the gaming goodies you've published over the past four years.

No concerns at all, and I'm happy to help out with the convention. We do things like that all the time. If you need more info, send me an email at info@goodman-games.com.

BTW, what's the local game store that doesn't stock our products? I'll send him a catalogue. :)

Thanks,
Joseph
