In praise of Jim Holloway's artwork

Post by jugger »

Hey guys, GREAT line of products with the Dungeond Crawl Classics. Keep them coming please!

I was so glad to see you all have Jim Holloway doing illustrations for the modules. To me, Jim's work is THE best in the business. I can't look at it without being whisked back to 1982 playing The Lost City at two in the morning! His work was always so precise and interesting. I would love to see a collection of all his D&D art in a book someday.

Again, great work and good job on getting the man himself. As long as he's doing the illustrations I'll keep buying em!

Jim is one of the greatest. Had he joined TSR earlier I would have put him in the triumvirates (Otus, Trampier, Sutherland).

I think of Jim as a superb caricaturist. No one can draw with such expressions on faces with minimal details like Holloway can.

To be honest though, his best artwork is in Paranoia. It's like they were made for each other.
