People of the Pit question
There are two new spells in this adventue...Control Tentacle and Arms of Palimdybis. Control Tentacle says it can be cast by a wizard or an elf. But Arms of Palimdybis does not. Am I to assume the cultists are wizards then and the Arms of Palimdybis spell is also available to wizards and elves? To me, cultists implies a cleric...but the adventure never calls them one, that I have seen.

Re: People of the Pit question
It's black magic (always causes corruption; it's what causes the cultists to be faceless mutants).
Note that in DCCRPG Cultist can imply Wizard or Cleric (see the Level Titles under Chaotic alignment for both classes).

Great question and answer.
I've just started running this adventure and would have run into soon.

Don't forget that the Bad-guys do not have to follow the RULES. They can do whatever they need to do to be cool, the cultists could just be cultists who can cast those spell cause it makes the adventure awesome.
When I ran this adventure NONE of the Players wanted those spells, they felt sickened by them! We had a great time playing through it, and they even missed out on a large chunk that they never explored.
I personally would let whoever wants this spell to try and Learn/Cast it and just have a load of fun with it as their Patron/God was like "Hey WTF! where did you get this from!!!"
