Adding 3.x/PF style races to the character creation process, as per my previous thread - how does it play out? Well, we rolled up a group of 20, played through "the portal under the stars" (very carefully, I might add, after the deaths of room 2), and only 3 survived. The funnel still worked, even with the addition. Details below. (note: ability scores are STR-AGIL-STAM-INT-WIS-CHA-LUCK)

Room 1: 3 strongest str check, all failed. Int check worked, so they waited.
Room 2: 2 players killed, the gnome (#4) and the Aasimar (#19). Their relatives inherited their stuff. Cogling (#18) and his Elfling daughter (#5) stay behind, investigate statues and strip them. Unattached stay with them, these four bringing up the rear.
Room 3: A group consisting of the 2 centaurs, the 2 aquatic elves, and 1 human (individuals #7,#8,#10,#12,#16) went for the east door, and 3 of them were killed instantly. Another (#12) failed his REF save, and died, and the last one was killed by the residents of room 5, only able to inflict 1 point of damage before doing so. Note: the bodies of #12 and #10 are in room 3, and have not been looted.
Room 4: A group consisting of a Sylph (#15) and 3 humans (#3, #14, #17) ran from room 3 to room 4. They run back through room 3 for room 6. They make it safely.
Room 6: The rest of the survivors join them here after 4 more rounds. Only 13 adventurers are left out of an original 20. They fall, and all but 3 die. They run away, and wait for it to be safe to pass.

Looking back at this, how are you rolling stats? because that's an awful lot of high numbers.
There's a few low ones, too, sure, but not as many, it doesn't seem. Loaded dice?
