My wife eats mostly vegetarian. Steak is a rarity for her...she does eat it on occasion though.
ALL DCC (and Xcrawl) tournament rounds will be held in the Union Station Conference Center. Below they are listed by Gen Con event number, round, date, time, room, and table.
Alright...it's official...I'm a sad bastard. I'm checking the Goodman forums on my vacation...
I've looked through the PCs (just a cursory glance...my wife has the stop-watch out). It promises to be an interesting tournament.
I still don't have the red boxed set yet, so...is there anything else that we should know about 0th level characters? For the "cleric-type", there is no turning ability, correct?
Also...is there a reason why it pointedly says "Round 1" on the characters? Or am I reading too much into this?
The Guard class is in the Whiterock adventure I have been told. I assume the reason the characters say Round 1 is to differentiate them from the round 2 versions which will likely have advanced to PC classes? The Adept (cleric-like) class does not include turning.
eleran is correct...the Guard NPC class appears in Castle Whiterock.
It specializes in detection and fighting, but it's not as doughty as a warrior, trading physical toughness for more skill points (and places to put them).
I'll post more on the Guard NPC class - and Castle Whiterock, the Palace, and other pieces I've worked on - in the Adventure Development thread when I get back from Gen Con, but everything you need to know for the tournament is right there in the Player's Pack.

I would encourage spectating as that is how I got to see Clan Yeoman in action (a thing of beauty if I've failed to mention it...a well oiled machine of destruction!!!!)
Word to the wise though to prevent having metal minis shoved into orificies,
KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT and STAY OUT OF THE WAY. Do NOT distract the players or they can reasonably beat the hell out of you.
Aside from that, I plan to spectate as often as possible, and will silently cheer on my favorites. Remember, if you see a black shirt with "superfan" on the back, say hello (but quietly)
