I just finished printing them out and have only skimmed them so far. Love what I have seen!
However...(isn't there always a however!) the full page of blackness with only a few words like "This Chapter is Equipment" or some such thing cost me a TON of ink. They are places at the start of most chapters(I think) and man was I sweating it towards the end there. I thought I would not have enough Ink to finish the book!
As it turned out I did and enough Ink for 40 character sheets as well!
Still....it was a worry and thought id bring it up!
Rules printed out and put into plastic binder. Some thoughts

Yeah, you definitely want to use the "Print page 10 to 48" option when printing PDFs.

The black pages are certainly striking, but I wonder if they are excessive when we may be trying to squeeze in content into a smaller page count.

Exactly what I did. My printer has been playing up, but it agreed to print the beta for me. I chose to not print the black pages and not print the full-page artwork, gorgeous though it is. It's rules I plan to test.sbarrie wrote:Yeah, you definitely want to use the "Print page 10 to 48" option when printing PDFs.
And in the end, the last page printed was the last sheet of paper in the machine. It was meant to be.

As a former worker in quick-print,one of the worst things was a large solid black mass. I refill my inkjet cartridges so it doesn't stop me but I always see it as typesetter vs. pressman. That page needs art, not the void.

Printed mine out at office max for about 17 bucks (i got the cover in black in white and printed the whole thing double sided). Don't know if that was cheaper or not but it at least made me feel like I didn't need to worry about all the ink

I have a laser printer at home so it didn't hurt me quite as much. I kind of like the look of the dark pages myself. But I know zero about commercial printing.

I'm wondering if those pages just haven't been finalized yet... maybe there will be art, or some other design aspect, but it's not ready for public consumption...orcface999 wrote:As a former worker in quick-print,one of the worst things was a large solid black mass. I've actually heard the same comment in a couple of other places. I didn't think about it because I don't plan on printing it for a couple of weeks. But it does make sense...unless you're looking to push people to buy the hard copy when it comes out*
