Although this is not something concerning the modules it still is related to the Wilderlands Setting. I am currently planning a campaign set in the wilderlands (barbarian altanis, south of the city-state). It is supposed to start as a one-on-one campaign with the player portraying a female barbarian (something along the lines of Xena or Sheena) who finds out about some hidden heritage and has to leave her clan to find the answers somewhere beyond her homeland.
We plan to start at 1st level, although I might raise this to 3rd. Does anyone have any suggestions as to modules that might fit the level range and atmosphere/style of the campaign?
Also: did anyone place Rappan Athuk in the wilderlands? And if so, where?

Modules of the wilderlands
two that I can think of off the top of my head would be Thieves of fortress badabaskor and shield maidens of sea rune or the wilderness series.

Thanks for responding! Are "Shield Maidens of Sea Rune" and the "Wildernis series" old adventures? I don't know them.kgeilman wrote:two that I can think of off the top of my head would be Thieves of fortress badabaskor and shield maidens of sea rune or the wilderness series.

I placed Rappan Athuk north of CSIO, past the Tharbrian Coast and the lost city of Sotur. The mouth of the River Geldhrawn lies north of Sotur. The River Geldhrawn must be followed upstream for two days' march, whereupon the River emerges from the Forbidden Forest. The entrance to Rapan Athuk lies south of the point where the River Geldhrawn leaves the Forbidden Forrest.
In terms of the Wilderlands boxed set maps, the location is near the map borders of the Elphand Lands map (upper left hand map) and the Valon map (upper center map).

You might also want to read through this thread on the Necromancer Games wherein several of the game masters that use the Wilderlands explain where they located Rappan Athuk (or RA:RE, as the case may be) in their own campaigns.
There's even a blurb from Bill Webb where he had Rappan Athuk located in his Wilderlands campaign.

Thieves of Fortress Badabaskor has a plot hook about an Amazon searching for her mother inside the fortress. Although the lower levels are high level the upper levels and the castle town are good for mid levels and even low levels if they role-play well.Argamae wrote: It is supposed to start as a one-on-one campaign with the player portraying a female barbarian (something along the lines of Xena or Sheena) who finds out about some hidden heritage and has to leave her clan to find the answers somewhere beyond her homeland.

The preview, with the fourth level, actually has some of the details of this plot.
