PCs Novel Approach to Forest of Lanterns

Post by Gailbraithe »

My players discovered an interesting way to defeat the Warty Witch.

They stood outside the wall of the Candy Cottage, and blew away one of the windows in Izelda's tower with a Sound Lance. Then the druid, using master Air, lowered himself and one of the mirrors of opposition so that Izelda would see herself in it when she looked towards the window.

Izelda and her evil (?) double fought for a few rounds, while the party launched empowered fireballs into the room from outside the compound. Izelda lasted three rounds.

That's awesome! Players... they always come up with the most unpredictable plans.
Hope it was enjoyable for you. Thanks for sharing the story.

To misquote Helmuth von Moltke: "No adventure survives its first encounter with the PCs."
