Small Rules Clarification

Hello there,
new to MCC and recently started an online game. So far we're excited! Super fun game.

We're almost done with the Rite of Passage and we have a human that unfortunately had to burn his Luck all the way down to 2. Now I'm wondering if that is the character's base Luck, or if Darwinian Luck lets him regenerate it to his starting Luck value of 12 immediately upon reaching first level? The former seems a little crippling. Would be thankful if anyone who knows the answer could elaborate.

I could see doing it either way, in part depending on the harshness of your game world...

Just zinging them back to 12 seems like there was minimal risk in burning down to that point. Burning Luck that low seems like it should carry a real risk, IMO.

Regardless of where you land on answering this for your game, the character should be earning Luck as part of play in any case, so even if you decide their "max" Luck at 1st Level is 2, they can raise that through play -- just gonna take some time to get back to 12.
