OOC: Sorry for the delay in responding. Thanksgiving, etc.

Telva, Bjorn and Blackfeet continue to survey the mist room. They find that the rest of the room is just like the part already surveyed. Lots of blinking light bulky shapes. On the far wall, exactly opposite the tube that the party entered the room from, they find another L-shaped housing on the floor below a matching tube above it on the wall. Other than that, nothing else of interest.

Kurr, Myrna, Voorak Sarkla and Tarr (did I miss anyone?) press the square metal switch again, and the door slides open. They each tentatively step into the plant-filled room beyond and find themselves once again on solid ground. Leafy fronds and tendrils spill over the sides of low-walled beds situated about the room. No one seems to have been tending these plants for some time, and they appear to have run riot. The air is warm and humid, and carries the fragrance of a multitude of odd, colorful blossoms. At the far end of this 50' wide, angular room, is a doorway set into the opposite wall. In order to reach it, however, you'll have to hack your way through the overgrown plants that have filled the space between.

ooc: haha, tried to post, guess it didn't take, so I'll take Things That Will Probably Kill Me for $500

Kurr and Myrna move up and cautiously inspect the plants.- Does anything look familiar? Edible?

Bjorn and Blackfeet will move toward the far end of the lower room by the opposite grate and await the tribe's readiness to move on.

Sarkla calls down for Telva to come up, since plants are her thing...

Tarr begins to move forward, jabbing and slashing plants in his path with this spear. "Will these burn? May be faster."

Telva enters the lift-tube.

No, these plants don't look familiar to them. As for edible, they could try tasting some...

Tarr thinks the plants are too verdant to burn well at all. He continues hacking his way toward the far door.

Telva floats up like the others and enters the room.

Telva goes in among the plants, as much as their run-amokness will let her. Maybe her Herbalist knowledge can tell her something...

Will and Dibbon will also enter the tube and move into the new area.

Ok. Telva also, to her surprise, recognizes none of these strange plants. But her knowledge of herbalism does tell her that certain of them have characteristics shared by plants in the Frozen North that she knows to be poisonous, i.e. bright colors, etc.

Will and Dibbon awkwardly float up and join Tarr in hacking a path to the door. They should be able to make it through in another round or so.

OCC: Ok, so is everybody up there now except Bjorn and Blackfeet? Are they staying put?

After three rounds of hacking, you reach the far door on the opposite side of this six-sided room from the door you entered through.

This door, like the one inside the tube, has a square metal plate next to it that can be pushed.

Bjorn and Blackfeet will ascend the demon-tube with the rest of the clan, and those with knives help clear a path once in the garden room.

Tarr steps forward. "Get ready everyone..." [waits for everyone to get ready or stay his hand or whatever other action] Tarr puts his hand on the metal square.

With a whoosh, the door slides open into the wall. Outside, you see a 30' square chamber, the floor shining under bizarre glowing panels overhead. Patches of ice and puddles of slush cover the entire floor. You see a short hallways exiting the room opposite where you are, but you'll need to enter the room to see more.

Before moving on, Bjorn and Myrna search the garden room for anything that might be useful, especially around the plant beds. Kurr and Blackfeet ready their weapons near Tarr.

Sarkla and Voorak will make their way to the door, on different paths, checking things out as they go (plants, structure, etc.).

Telva will do the same, but more slowly, and will also carefully collect up some plant samples for possible future use... If she winds up the last to leave the room, so be it.

Nothing else is visible in and among the plants or plant beds. Perhaps with several hours work, a more detailed search could be conducted.

Telva gathers up some interesting plants for later study.

Blackfeet suddenly rushes forward and smacks the handplate by the door- on his tiptoes.

My four enter the room, cautiously.

In other words, they don't all continue walking ahead, directly under the dream crabs falling from the ceiling, as they descend down upon Voorak.

As you slush into the 30' square room, you now see that four hallways exit the room, one at each compass point. You are entering through the eastern door. The ice is more prevalent near the north corridor, while the slushy puddles are more concentrated toward the southern hallway.

The southwest corner of this room is slightly rounded, and contains a door set into the wall. There is a small circular indentation in the center of the door.

Unless someone else wants to jump in...

Tarr will go 10-15 feet up the northern corridor, to see what can be seen.

The slush and water in the center of the room and south is frozen solid here. As you approach this 10' hallway, you see that there is a door at the end. It is a two-paneled door, partially ajar (both panels appear to have started to slide into the wall to either side, and stopped). Frigid air is coming through the opening between the panels from the area beyond.

Any light from within, winking lights, etc.? Does the torch reveal anything within?

Is there a 'metal square that makes walls part' panel?

OOC: Sorry to hear that, fullmentaljacket, but thanks for the heads' up. Do you guys want to take his characters as he suggested? Or do they stay put and refuse to go any further?

You can see drifts of snow and faint blue-white light coming from beyond the door, but not much else.

There is a metal square, but it is hanging loose out of its frame, covered in soot and suspended by two thin colored vines.

It looks like it would be possible to get a good grip on the doors if you wanted to try to force them open enough to get through, however...
