The short hallway leads to a 20' x 20' unadorned chamber.

There is nothing here save a small collapsed hole in the ground around which lingers the age-old smell of human dung.

Peering in the hole, Ragged Rob whispers, "I've 'eard tales of folks hide treasure in their privies."
Squire Jon shrugs. "You're welcome to dive right in."
Ragged Rob scratches his chin and takes Jon's pitchfork. He pokes the object into the hole and moves about, trying to see if he meets any resistance.

Honest John: "I'm a beggar and even I have no interest in digging through a toilet for loose change. Have at it."
Red Robert: "Let's keep moving. We're still way too close to that terrible room you all seem to love so much..."

The only resistance Ragged Rob feels is from Squire Jon, who isn't too pleased to see his pitchfork rattling around inside a toilet... ancient or no.

Finding nothing, you decide to keep moving.

Heading further east down the hall, you slow down after about 50 or 60 feet as you approach a large chamber.

Even at this distance, you can see bleached bones scattered across the floor.

As they approach the chamber, Squire Jon grabs his pitchfork back from Ragged Rob.
"Give that back, you demented bastard!" Then he marches forward towards the bones.

OOC: fireinthedust? Are you still out there? Going to assume you're coming along with the others.

Squire Jon, as you enter this large room brandishing your pitchfork, to your dismay you see numerous piles of bones and bronze armor rattle together taking the shape of fighting men with ancient, curved bronze swords.

Their empty eye sockets glow purple with necromantic power as the five unnatural beings scream and rush to attack!

Actions and initiative everyone please!

Wait... No he didn't. I just checked... he's dead, having failed his fortitude save back in scene 24, remember?
Judge Perky wrote:Nothing in your life thus far has prepared you for something like this.

The roar is an infernal thing, something out of nightmares... It reverberates off the stone walls of the chamber and turns your bowels to water.

This proves too much for Ken Katcherman, who suddenly clutches his chest and slumps to the ground, dead.
Did you mean Ned Starch?

Why doesn't everybody cut and paste their remaining characters into their Forum signature so we can all keep track of who's who easier (see Frozen in Time thread for an example of what I mean).

Ok, LOL let's try this again.

ROUND ONE:

Max_The_Judge rolls a 15 INIT
doddwaco, 12 INIT
Monsters 5
fireinthedust, ? (last)

Max: OOC: Honest John 6 to hit. Net Starch 17 to hit and 4 damage. Red Robert 5 to hit.

Ned Starch charges in and splits the spinal column of an advancing warrior in two! It crumbles to the ground with a preternatural shriek.

Honest John's sling stone and Red Robert's arrow miss the skeleton warriors AND (fortunately for them) their compadres Ned and Squire Jon (rolls: 54%, 84%) who have already engaged in hand to hand.

doddwaco: Squire Jon screams and horror and tried to defend himself with his pitchfork. [To hit: 12], Ragged Rob lets fly with his sling. [To hit: 10]

Both hit! Squire John and Ragged Rob, damage rolls please.

doddwaco wrote:[OOC: Squire John-damage 4, Ragged Rob 1; Sorry. Just so used to missing.]
Squire John jabs another one with his pitchfork. The piercing tines are not very effective against its skeletal frame, but they do damage it.

Ragged Rob's stone caroms off a rib of another one, chipping the ancient bone.

Two of the four remaining skeletal warriors now advance on each of Ned and Squire John with flaming eyes and curved bronze swords swinging.

The first one swings down at Ned's head, and he raises his pitchfork to narrowly block the sword at the last second! The other attacker, however, taking advantage of his exposed midsection, rakes its sword across, disemboweling him in the process (3 damage). He falls to the ground, bleeding out.

The first of John's attackers swing at him and he steps deftly aside... and then is able to duck under the clumsy swing of the other one's sword.

fireinthedust, what do your characters do this round?

I think things will move a little faster if we all subscribe. We'll all get email notifications whenever someone posts anything. Just a suggestion. Really enjoying the game so far.
