Using a level 1 for a funnel

Post by DM Cojo »

What level 1 DCC RPG modules would you all recommend to use as a funnel for 0 levels? Are there any that can be quickly adapted to a funnel? I own "People of the Pit" which I was considering using. Also available are Harley's DCC adventures "Into the Wilds" and "The Sinister Secret of Whiterock" which are both levels 1-3.

I was also considering converting some low level D&D modules and adding some crazy DCC creatures. Like B3 "Palace of the Silver Princess," B4 "The Lost City," and N1 "Against the Cult of the Reptile God."

One other idea I had was to make it a campaign and convert "Temple of Elemental Evil" but I don't know if it lends itself to DCC RPG.

"Frozen in Time" does look good. I ordered it, but don't know if it will arrive before this weekend when I need it. We are running U1 for my 2e game now. Using Gamma World is an awesome idea, I didn't think of. I have the first two Gamma World modules....Legion of Gold may be a good option too. Good tips for sure!

Drat. When I saw the title "using a level 1 for a funnel" I thought you were suggesting that one might generate a pile of level-1 characters and use the funnel concept to see which one got to advance to level 2.

Brilliant! :D

But not what this thread was about at all.

If it helps, all of my level 1 games are funnels in which it is not a given that you will live to see level 2.
