I was bored out of my mind today so I decided to play around with creating a random character generator using Perchance.

LESS weird? i want to see what the weird version was if Yar is less weird!
perchance.org wrote:Your name is Yar. STR 14 AGL 4 CON 14 PER 18 INT 1 LUC 12 People generally describe you as being sensible. But do they really know you? Yes. If you had a mutation, it would be: no mutation detected. Your birth augur, as decreed by the fates, is Speed of the cobra: Initiative. Before you left home for a life of adventure, you were a Mercenary Trained Weapon: Longsword, Trade Goods: Hide armor. Your mildly plausible background story is that you were teleported from a different side of the same village. You left home with a hand axe and belt sheath, a fine fighting axe, and a parting kiss. Your starting funds are 45 cp.
I'd love to play this guy!

Fair enough.
With the original version, you get results like this:
Your name is Selestor. STR 7 AGL 18 CON 6 PER 13 INT 5 LUC 16 People generally describe you as being drunk. But do they really know you? No. If you had a mutation, it would be: no mutation detected. Your birth augur, as decreed by the fates, is Birdsong: Number of languages. Before you left home for a life of adventure, you were a Law Officer (Vigilante) Trained weapon: Brass knuckles (1d4), Trade goods: Garish tie, non-regulation firearm (with no ammo). Your mildly plausible background story is that you were trained by a master in your class but need to defeat them in mortal combat. You left home with an adventurous pixie who has decided to become your henchman (whether you like it or not), a ham, and a pack mule. Your starting funds are 33 cp.
The occupation list was taken from an article in one of the Gongfarmer's Almanacs and Hobomonicon#0.
