Can you burn Luck on Luck rolls?
The rules say burning Luck is usually for other kinds of rolls, but it doesn't seem to expressly forbid it.
I know I could just houserule it one way or the other, but wondering what others thought.
Simple rules question (sorry if it's a dumb one)

Normally, there is no point. Burning Luck would adjust your Luck on a 1-to-1 basis if the roll is a standard "roll under your Luck" type roll. I.e., if you had a 13 Luck and rolled a 14, burning 1 point of Luck could reduce your roll to a 13, but now you need a 12.
Thieves and halflings may find that their mileage varies considerably.
So, my short answer is, Yes, I do allow it. It is not always useful, however. Having the halfling watch as you are rolled over is a smart move in my games.

Thanks for the reply!
That was the heart of my question, I guess: whether you burn the Luck point first, and then roll, or you make the choice to burn Luck, roll, and then the point is burned.
I agree if burning Luck instantly reduces your Luck, there'd be absolutely no point to doing it.

Mind you, in general, Luck can be spent after you make a roll. I don't recall the page number off the top of my head...
And of course and Halfling could burn Luck for you to make your Luck check!![Wink ](./images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)
