If this is the case, I would vote against including such an appendix in the DCC RPG rulebook. Make one for the web, maybe, but not in the rulebook.
My rationalle is that DCC is supposed to be a game about Appendix N and a list therein should be "Appendix N style" books, either actual ones from Gygax's list or newer books that really fit the style. Putting in a "these are great but don't fit the style of the game you just purchased" would be really bizarre. Kind of like having a "great SciFi movies" Appendix at the end of a Detective RPG book; while it might be an excellent list it doesn't fit the situation.

I completely agree with you finarvyn. Plus, in the spirit of Appendix N, Appendix O should only contain books that inspired the authors (i.e., Goodman, et al.). Thus, it's completely their call.

LOL, I'm reading The Silmarillian for the first time right now and just yesterday got to part dealing with how Saruman fell. So Gandalf becoming twisted the same way would be funny.
