Perfect for 0 level characters entering their first dungeon with Torch, meat cleaver or a bit of dead fish.

For 0 level characters we just use Chess Pawns. I'm not really sure why as we have lots of miniatures.

I think we started to use pennies at first.

Maybe its a you don't get a miniature until you earn it with first level kinda thing.

I love Legos. Fully customizable and reusable. Plenty of farm tools, too.

I use the pawns from the game Sorry!

Each person gets 4 colored pawns, then they write a number on them with a marker.

To be honest for that price the players can buy their own figures. I already fork out enough $$$ and time for players that for the most part...do not seem to give a damn(
