Modules: Hardy copy + PDF bundle?

I was thinking yesterday about the adventure modules coming out and it occurred to me that it would be really nice to have an option to purchase a hard copy of the module and maybe pay a little extra to also get a PDF of the module too.

I like having a hard copy for both reading and collecting purposes, but a PDF makes it easy to not only run the adventure from my iPad, which saves wear and tear on the module, but also allows printing out of specific pages with maps or players aids, etc... without the hassle of using a copier.

So, are there any plans, and if not, any chance something like this might be offered?

I thought the pdf was going to be free with the pre-order, wasnt it?

For the core rule book, yes. I'm talking about adventure modules as they become available.

Seems to me like a good idea. Good to sell the PDF copies before the internet pirates get ahold of it. :x

Yeah, I would be interested in this too (having just ordered all the modules in the shop!)

Would making an app for a reader with the option of buying modules work?

That's actually quite a bit of work. Almost every device can open PDFs, and you won't have to reformat the content for each different resolution and the PDF readers already take care of a good bit of that. The modules should be available through places like DriveThruRPG via your phone/tablet.

While having a DCC app would be nifty, I can't personally see it being profitable for the work it would require to do it properly. Then again, I'm not staff, so they may see things differently ^-^
