Countdown Thread
Dungeon Crawl Classics RPG will be released in February 2012. To be conservative, let's assume a release date of Feb. 29, 2012.
As I type this it is November 21, 2011 in the western hemisphere. That means that, as of right now, there are exactly 100 days until the release of the Dungeon Crawl Classics RPG.

Re: Countdown Thread
I suspect that the exact date won't be known (or even estimated) until the thing is at the printers.
But I hope it'll be available before the 29th -- and that I can pick it up at DunDraCon on President's Weekend.
Continuing:
99 flagons of ale on the wall, 99 flagons of ale
Take one down, slosh it around
98 flagons of ale on the wall

It's a relativity thing. As you move faster and faster, close to the speed of light, time seems to run slowly. (Depending upon your reference frame.)Devil Swine wrote:Time is passing so slowly!
The solution is that you need to slow down. Maybe take a nap.

JediOre, I assume that yours is supposed to be a list of things that you discovered in the 80's, not things that were made in the 80's. Otherwise, half of your list would be wiped out.
Sounds like we enjoy many of the same things, however.

Now we're on day 88. I graduated from high school in '88.
I think 1977-1983 represents a golden time for sci-fi/fantasy movies:
the original Star Wars trilogy
Raiders of the Lost Ark
Alien
E. T.
Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan
etc.

Awww man...good times. Im turning 40 now. Got my first Red Box Basic set when I was 9, back in '81, for Xmas. My Mom did not want me to have it- she saw an episode of the 700 Club. D&D teaches you to worship the Devil, witchcraft, Satanic orgies, etc, etc. LOL. My Dad got it for me anyway....but he had to read it first. Luckily he was a big Tolkein fan. He declared it harmless- just like Lord of the Rings! - he said. Awwww.....good times.

I like your dad's style. That's how things went in my house. My folks had to review things before it came into my sister's and mine hands.Blood Axe wrote:My Dad got it for me anyway....but he had to read it first.
I remember when Star Wars came out. I was eight and DYING to see it. Since it was PG, my dad and my friend's dad went to the film first. My friend and I was waiting at my front door when our dad's drove up the gravel drive-way. My dad got out of our family car, walked to the front door and told my sister, my friend, and me to get in. He and my friend's dad took us back to the theater the same day!
