Expanded boards a great idea

I just wanted to say that I think that expanding the boards to include sections for individual topics is a great idea. I was afraid that the potential influx of posts could be large enough so that lots of good ideas would get lost in the shuffle, but this way topics will tend to stay at the top longer.

Good plan. 8)

Agreed.

It is exciting to see the game go out into the wilds to get beat upon. It really is a living playtest and can only be made better from your input. Nearly every time we send Joseph comments/corrections he is calling out another change or two. I suspect the months leading up to November will be very busy.

Come to think of it, there must be a practical cut-off time on feedback, after which point the book has to be finalized and sent to press. Is that a sharable date? Might make a difference in when testers schedule games to put the rules through their paces...

Joseph knows the answer to that, but I think the short version is, "Play and pick apart the system as much as possible, and soon." :)

Joe, you probably want to start a new sub-forum (or whatever they're called) for gamers seeking gamers, or open call for players kind of thing for this Beta. I know I'll need a few more players for my group. Some of them will not want to play an "old-school" game, unfortunately.

I'm not sure where to post my "Anyone in Los Angeles proper want to join my weekly DCC Beta Test game?" post.

What started off as a great idea is becoming overwhelming in a hurry. There are so many enthusiastic posters that it's hard to keep up with all of the chatter.

That's a good thing, since this means a lot of folks are interested in the product. That's a bad thing, since we're already getting multiple posts on the same thing and seems like some folks are posting opinions after reading but not playing the game.

I'm curious if anyone has any board statistics -- number of registered posters before and after June 7th, number of posts per day before and after June 7th, etc. It'll be interesting to see if the flurry continues or fades out a little. In the meantime, it's quite a ride. :P

Right now there are 44 new members as of June 8: http://www.goodman-games.com/forums/mem ... d&start=30
As I'm posting this 42 posts are attributed to them based on the above URL.
