I would say print out each page and stable them and than you have an actual spell book at the table that you can look up spells in! That sounds cool, even if it dose take up a bit of space. Maybe when the full rules come out, you can put up a free pdf of the spell sheets so people can download them without braking the binding of their book trying to pphoto copy pages. That would be cool.

I like it! Somehow it feels like there's some real potential with this idea...
thanks! im glad you like it I allways wanted to have an actual spell book that was more than just a sheet of paper with my spells listed. The little booklit thing looks cool though if you can design it to look like an old book covered in mystriours runes. Then, when a player gets a new spell, the GM can hand out the page to the player to add to the book.
Actually, Midnight is when the server will finally be free for actual downloading. At least, I'm not expecting to be able to get the dl first thing in the morning...
And not to steal thunder from moes, but the idea of a pdf for the spells has been suggested in these forums before...

Good point, credit where credit is due! Maybe it was just thought of the little printed "portfolio" spell book that got me excited. I suddenly had this image of the wizards referencing their "spell book" at the table.
Of course then all the warrior players would need life-size swords out of fairness...
Spellbook idea is great. And, me, I prefer one spell per page and the idea of condensing spells down to the "basics" with excellent guidelines for the Wizard player to create new spells and rules for doing that.
The one page per spell also has the extra benefit of players getting to memorize which spell is which page. Oh, Magic Missile? That's page 125. Scorching Ray? 142. For easy reference.

I think Nerf has us covered on that...

If GG were to make some nice grimoire covers as pdfs (e.g., with dragon skin texture and DCC RPG logo), people could print them up and either slot them into the plastic cover of their spell book or as the front page for their photocopy/printed and stapled spell book.
I'm wondering if they "have" to take up a whole page, or if they can take HALF a page, or a 1/4. Or maybe formatted to be printed on 4x6 index cards... (OH NO CARDS!)
I plan to be fully involved in the BETA of this game. I can't express my excitement with words!

Players in my Pathfinder game already use digest-sized printed spellbooks, which are quite handy. I think the DCC RPG spells would work even better in this format, using one page per spell. Some Pathfinder spells take a few lines, and some take up several pages, so formatting the doc can be a pain in the ass.

Sorry, didnt mean to take any body elses ideas, just seemed like pdf's of the spells was a natural followup to idea of having a player spell book. Thanks for the catch.
