Actually that is pretty darn good. For those who don't know/remember, just seeing a Catoblepas (sp?) required a save not to die. Only upon first seeing it though.

Yo cover art is so ugly Nimlurun, the DCC god of filth, took one look at it and immediately put on a Helm of Opposite Alignment and chose Mr. Clean as his avatar.

Semi-late to the game.

My first impression with the D&D 4e covers was shocking disgust. I'm better today, but for the life of me, I can't say why I don't like the covers. When I saw the planned DCC somewhat mirrored the 4e corebooks, I was saddened a bit. I liked the 1e retro look of the first 52. I'm pretty easy going with this sort of thing, and hearing 'we needed to be obviously 4e' was all I needed to understand the direction. It makes absolute sense.

Suggestions I would have:

- Add colour to the covers! It looks like the ones so far are all white. Where's the blue, green, red, pink?!? I love getting a rainbow of colour, and for me, it's a recognizable DCC trait.

- I think the rest of the cover is fine, but the font is a little on the sterile side. Very pointy corners.

- All the info on the covers is pertinent to a cover. You could even add a 4e notice, but with the covers somewhat similar to the 4e books, compatibility is probably assumed.

Don't know if that's useful at all, but this was a thread for everyone to throw their 0.02 into the hat, so there you go. I would find that colour would warm the covers a lot though. Mr. Goodman would know best if black outsold pink by a mile ;)

Got to admit I like the cover art......mostly :) .

Kill the whitespace though, I prefer my covers a bit more like Dragora's Dungeon. Full size that is, not semi-nude woman?!?!?

What am I saying!!! Keep the semi-nude women and give us full colour, full page cover art
