Probably at some point, but we don't have it scheduled for a specific date yet.

Just got my copy. :D

It looks absolutely fantastic. Very neat blending of old school monster manual and slick, modern graphic design.

Just bought a copy for myself. A great selection, Blackdirge. Some of my favorite DCC critters are in there.

Since there haven't been as many high-level DCCs, there are definitely more low to mid-level CR monster. Here, Ill break it down for you.

CR 1 and under -- 12 monsters
CR 2 -- 17
CR 3 -- 12
CR 4 -- 10
CR 5 -- 15
CR 6 -- 8
CR 7 -- 7
CR 8 -- 8
CR 10 -- 3
CR 11 -- 2
CR 12 -- 4
CR 13 -- 3
CR 16 -- 1
CR 17 -- 2
CR 20 -- 1
CR 21 -- 1

Hope that helps.

Could we have a break down by monster type, please? I am looking for plants, vermin and dragons and don't want to buy it if those are mostly absent.

Also the pdf is mentioned at rpgnow as 128 pages yet the webpage here says 96. Which is it?

I don't have the exact break down for monster type, however, there are a number of plants and vermin in the book. In addition, there are more monsters that are plant- and vermin-like.

As for dragons, there are no monsters with the dragon type. However, there is a new template, the dracomorph (designed by yours truly :D ) that allows you to make any critter you like into a draconic whup-ass machine. :D

RPGNow is right. Haven't updated the web site yet -- that'll be correct later this week.

I *lurve* the cover to this, btw - very reminiscent of the original Basic/Expert sets artwork, even down to what looks like an identical font for the title. Classic!

Well, I have this and, at first, was a bit unhappy looking at the monster by type chart. Fortunately there are tons of vermin, just under other monster types. Thumbs up!

There is one thing I think is missing- references. Which monsters came from which DCCs? It might improve sales if people see where some really cool critter they love comes from.

Yup. A lot of the aberrations and magical beasts are very vermin-like. They just didn't qualify for the vermin type because they either had an Intelligence score, magical abilities, or both.

I think the neuronea and the rust spider are two of the coolest of that bunch.

I'm gratified that my rust spider will be able to terrorize PCs outside the DCC I wrote it for. :)

Yeah, that was one of those monsters that was an absoulte no-brainer when it came time to choose which critters would go into the book.

I even statted up an advanced, fiendish, rust spider to throw at my own players when they gain a few levels.
