Palace in the Wastes on the Coming Soon page!

Post by fathead »

The art for the Palace in the Wastes looks great!

I'm pretty excited about this coming out. I'm looking forward to flipping through to see what we SHOULD have done in some rooms. Any rooms that we missed...I'll inflict those on my group. :) I'm also interested in learning the full plot behind it.

This one really was a gem.

i second that! the jim holloway illustration is great ... there is the tangible sense of the one guy saying to the other, "dude, get up here, this crystal angel thing is going to cut our heads off in 30 seconds!"

so much fun. ya gotta love the old school artists, even the "new old school."

i wasn't able to get a slot in the tournament, so i'm especially looking forward to this one. dan, can you give us a quick run down of what your crew ran into in the palace in the wastes?

The module was fantastic. There were so many memorable encounters, I'd have trouble listing them all. My group talked about the adventure for months afterwards. You know those campaigns that your players continually refer to with a fondness? This event was one of those.

Here is a link to the discussions after the tournament (WARNING: THERE ARE MAJOR SPOILERS HERE...so don't read it if you intend to play in it):

There were many memorable combats, riddles, interesting combat locations, puzzles, and traps. The plot was unique and intriguing.

We played the event, and we're STILL anxious to pick up the module. That alone should say something. :)

I must say, palace in the waste was a really awesome adventure.

It had a great build up, and and awesome climax.

Truly a must have.

I only hope that this years DCC stacks up to last year.

I think "Palace" was the best so far.

Mouse

PS Looking forward to seeing my name on the score page and the body count I racked up.

Do you think Joe will post all my maps from the tounament on Prester's Emporium now that the module is being released? He should have all the jpgs that I sent him a while back.

Just curious. If not, I can always resend. Had a blast doing those maps! Look forward to doing the ones for this year's tournament, AND FINALLY GOING this year!!!!

Ben, don't worry -- I have all your Palace maps in a folder right here on my computer. As soon as Palace is released I will post them to Prester's!
