Desperately seeking 2nd printing of DCC#1 w/ McAusland cover

Post by guslandt »

As the title says, I am seeking a copy of the 2nd printing of DCC #1 Idylls of the Rat King. The one with the William McAusland cover of the helmeted knight in chainmail about to hit a rat with his sword.

Please PM me if you have one and I guarantee we can make a deal. :D

FYI,

The third printing of this module sold on eBay for $88.00 plus change, plus shipping.

So the second printing is worth even more.

Right Gus?

Third printings go for $7 on eBay. I see no past eBay auctions of this module, in any printing, for more than cover price. Where are you getting your info?

EDIT:
OK, I finally found what you are seeing:

That is for a supposed "ultra rare true third printing" - 1 of 50 existing in the world. Apples & Oranges.

Don't forget the $88 price tag is due to the extreme rarity of the book. One of 50 with that specific error....that's pretty low print run. I have a couple of first edition #1 and #2 DCC's that I doubt I could sell for that much. So far, the Acaeum doesn't think that the early mass print run DCC's are worth more than a bit over cover. Now the limited ed stuff, that's another story entirely.

Take care,
