Hi everyone,

We periodically send messages to our mailing list. (The sign-up for the mailing list is in the upper left corner of our web site.) I thought I'd post the latest message here so people can see what they're missing if they're not on the list. :)

Note that the forums signup doesn't automatically put you on our mailing list -- you have to sign up specifically for each separately.

Here's a quick update from Goodman Games! Etherscope, our best-reviewed book ever, a review contest...

ETHERSCOPE PREVIEW POSTED

Etherscope is now at the printer! This is our brand-new RPG of cyberpunk Victoriana scheduled for December release. If you liked the Matrix, you'll love Etherscope.

This week we posted an awesome-looking PDF preview of the Scope chapter from the core rulebook. Check it out at http://www.goodman-games.com/WW17620preview.php

OUR BEST-REVIEWED BOOK EVER

Book of Templates: Deluxe Edition
http://www.goodmangames.com/4340preview.php

The Book of Templates is officially our best-reviewed book ever. EN World just posted its fourth 5-star review. Here are a few excerpts:

* EN World, staff reviewer Crothian: 5 stars. "This is a great book and about as close to a must-have in the realms of fantasy d20 game books as we see."

* EN World, staff reviewer Joe Kushner: 5 stars. "Its utility... is not in the samples provided. It's in the ideas provided. It's in the themes provided. It's in the fact that you can take these numerous templates and augment your existing monster collection by a factor of thousands."

* EN World, reviewer Trance Jeremy: 5 stars. "I own around 150 d20 books, and I am hard pressed to think of a more useful book for the DM besides the core books."

* EN World, staff reviewer Alan Kohler: 5 stars. "The Book of Templates remains one of the most useful tools in creating new and interesting creatures out there. The authors are not simply content to just translate the templates to 3.5. They jazz the whole thing up with a few more templates, and some nice rethinkings of the existing templates."

WRITE YOUR OWN REVIEW, PART 1: HOW TO DO IT

We'd like your help in spreading the word about our games! Please post a review of your favorite Goodman Games adventure, setting, or game. A good place to post is EN World, the world's largest d20/D&D fan site (www.enworld.org). RPG.net is also a good site. If you buy PDF e-books, consider posting a review to the site where you purchased the book.

* How to post a fan review at EN World (www.enworld.org):

(1) Find the product you'd like to review on the Goodman Games publisher page:
http://www.enworld.org/reviews.php?do=p ... id=2005155

(2) Select the product, then click the "New Review" button at the bottom of the page. If the product you'd like to review isn't visible, e-mail us and we'll ask EN World to add it.

* How to post a fan review at www.RPG.net:

(1) Go here and enter your review:

WRITE YOUR OWN REVIEW, PART 2: WHY TO DO IT

We happen to have a few rare books lying around the office, including 1st-printing editions of Dungeon Crawl Classics #1 and #2 that turned up when we were packing for Gen Con. If you DO write a review, send us an email to point us to it. On December 1, we'll randomly select two lucky reviewers to receive these books as prizes!

GEN CON TOURNAMENT RESULTS

This is old news now, but in case you missed it, we posted the results of our Gen Con tournament. They're not pretty: an 83% kill rate in round three! Now that's what we call a dungeon crawl! You can find the results here:

That portion of EN World is run by volunteers, as I understand it, so it's probably an "as we get around to it" situation. I will ask them to add the newer releases.
