The Dragonfiend Pact-questions about size

Just wondering about damage for monsters based upon new character size.
ie. When characters are tiny or diminutive, it seems that monsters' damage should go up; the normal rats are now similar to the characters in size...
Anyone have similar thoughts or modified the module to reflect this?
Thanks...

That makes perfect sense from a intuitive standpoint, but the d20 system actually operates the opposite of that. A creature's damage output is reduced as it shrinks, and its AC actually goes UP. So as the PCs approach the size of rats, the rats have a harder time hitting them, and there's no adjustment to the rats' damage output to reflect the comparable sizes.
So, yeah, it makes sense, but you'd have to go outside the bounds of normal d20 rules to do it. If you do come up with some modifications, though, I'd be interested to hear about them.

Thanx for the response,
While now understanding the d20 mechanics behind this, I think I may do a little tweaking here and there just the same, to give my players more sleepless nights in between games...
Perhaps I'll turn the rats into dire for purposes of new relative size/stats, or will simply use the diminuative/tiny character chart in reverse? ie. up the rats' damage from tiny to medium, and perhaps leave the character's damage untouched from normal when attacking similarly sized monsters.
Yeah, I'll have to do some brain storming on this; the whole 'damage down/hit points the same' thing just doesn't sit well with me.
Kinda like two 8th level fighters shrunken down, each with 90 hps and now doing 2 points of damage a hit.
Long battles at best...
