Re: Adapting Aereth as my "homeworld"
3. Scythe I need more weapons! the scythe is a common medieval tool-turned-weapon, and looks cool! I statted t as a polearm (1d10 dmg) and gave it a +1d on both Crit and Fumble tables to represent the nastiness and clumsiness of the weapon...seem fair, or overpowered? ...more to come, so please sha...

Re: Mutant Crawl Classics pre-order?
I, for one, love the KickStarter model. It allows smaller publishers like Goodman Games to offer a better product with less risk. Take the 4th Edition reprint for example. Traditional methods would have given me a 4th ed with new art and possibly a leather cover. Anything more would have been a ris...

Re: DCC adventures beyond the funnel
+1 DCC is more about simply surviving than what treasure and baubles you can accumulate. The funnel is important because it sets the tone; when PC's are dying left, right and centre the players tend to get the lethality of the game pretty quick and they soon regard booty as a delightful bonus rather...

Re: Mutant Crawl Classics pre-order?
I think that's my cue. Mutant Crawl Classics RPG is both a sequel to and a setting for DCC RPG. It takes place in some unspecified time period (30th century? Lost Lemuria?) millennia after the fall of a Vancian super-science society. Rooted in Appendix N literature, it's a post-apocalyptic setting ...

Re: DCC RPG 4th printing: What do you want?
I know it would be a bit of a rush to do, but in terms of _new_ stretch goals (post 70K commitment), how cool would it be to have a reprinting (or conversion) of the Known Realms Gazetteer? That booger is a difficult one to find, and when it does pop up, it tends to command a small fortune. And bar...

Re: Mutant Crawl Classics pre-order?
The trouble with Kickstarters is it pretty much excludes international orders as the shipping is around $30. I'm a bit disappointed to be missing the 4th printing but I just can't justify the cost...especially considering I already have all the other printings and editions. So I personally really h...

Received a set of Zocchi dice the other day in the mail, from Impact Miniatures. Red with white numbering. Only set I cold afford. Good for you; I only have the Jumbo's because I can't see regular sized dice very well without bins and I like to wear bins as little as possible. That and the satisfyi...

You should also note that when a PC does a double move (A 'move' action) they can also draw/sheath a weapon, equip or drop a shield or open a door as part of that movement (i.e. for free)

Re: Introductions Thread - Join the Band!
I did look at the kickstarter and would love to own my own edition (silver foil, nice). But I'm a budget and after buying Zocchi dice and the huge DCC book at my local gaming store, I'm scraping the bottom of that barrel. Just bought a hardcover S&W Complete edition and DM screen previously. I'...

Re: Alignment question
I agree with the above, law and chaos are not good and evil, more pro or anti establishment, pro the team or pro the individual. That said in most campaigns a character is more likely to be evil if they are chaotic purely because looking after number one at the expense of the group is generally held...
