Re: Atributes for non-human races (?)
I just want to avoid the impossible strength 18 hobbit. A 3' tall person weighing 60-80 pounds could never, under any circumstances, be as strong as the biggest, brawniest man you know. To me,your imagination has strange limitations  . Of all the vast reality bending concepts to not be able ...

What do 0 level dwarfs get? Once you are fully comfy with that let them pick a class at first level like everyone else.

Re: Two questions regarding deeds of arms
Played this afternoon as a player in one of my friends DCC adventures as a 2nd level warrior. My default MD was to disarm but I did a ton of trips, cuts above eyes to blind, slashing of armor straps and knocking monsters off stairs and a few times into pools. It was stupid how easy it was. Granted I t...

Re: Spoilers:Sailors on the Starless Sea...anyone played it
Just played this adventure today and with four players each with 4-8(several trips back added even more characters at least twice) Zero level pc's the game ended with one player being left alive to battle at the end. Both he and the last villain were down to 1 hit point and went three full rounds mi...

Re: Two questions regarding deeds of arms
This seems too much for me. Every round I have three warriors doing Deeds all over the place? With no reason to not do a deed they will be done every round! At the same time think about the npc warriors they will be fighting? Why would ANY warrior or dwarf npc ever attack the pc's without a disarm/b...

WOTC playtest starts in Feb. Playtests are available at DDXP in Jan 2011: "as a convention special this year, we will be offering show attendees a first-look at a draft of the new set of rules." With the open play test starting for everyone else in Feb. I would also like to add that I woul...

How do I put this? Errr Hurry the heck up!
Yeah so I love what I have play tested about DCC rpg and feel it was going to be a GREAT game. I was all excited and had a few of my players lined up for more. Then life happened and the game was delayed. That put a downer on things but I wasn't too worried. I knew it would be out sooner or later an...

The Rumor on the street is that Greyhawk will be the default setting again. Mostly this rumor is caused by me going around saying that with no proof or any clue other than one rumor that keeps getting repeated by me.
Just saying.
Just saying.

Yeah I know things happen but I'm disappointed to. You are right about three years from now nobody will remember if its late but at the same time, some of us were counting on its release and made plans accordingly. I know these things happen and you guys want to get it right. That's cool. It's hard t...

Re: Would you buy a full DCC themed 14-dice set? (Unofficial
I vote for cheap inked dice sets that have only the new dice in them. One thing nobody at my table needs is more of the same dice we already have. Also I need as cheap of a entry point into DCC as I can get so as not to add fuel to the fire yet another rpg game to try out land that my players often ...

Re: Old School versus 4E
I do play and love 4E but then I play and love just about every rpg at one time or another. RPG's are like peoples kids. The creators love them and often don't see the bad qualities but instead are enthralled with the good. That's ok! The Good qualities are often enough! From real simple and perhaps...

Re: Is corruption meant to be permanent?
I really like this idea for a little less deadly magic type game. I mean still casting is bad but at least short term there is relief from the massive corruption. For a game a little closer to D&D style.

Campaign A: A gonzo science-fantasy campaign, that takes place on a planet, which was terraformed by a now fallen galactic empire - but might include trips to different planets, including Earth. The planet is full with different kind of alien races and creatures, portals to other worlds, ruins of a...

Classic Crawlers Guide
I think we need another book to buy. A DCC RPG version of the Dungeon Masters Guide. Not a book to set limits and give rules but a book to help new(and old) Judges to embrace the DCC concepts and to help point the way (broadly). I imagine a book filled with atmosphere and advice on how to run a DCC ...

Re: Is corruption meant to be permanent?
If the Wizard could transfer the horrid corruption onto someone else in a ritual that would make a great case why most Wizards who lasted very long are evil selfish villains. So we are one ritual away from one solution. Heck maybe the good guys could have one to that makes corruption fade over time ...

New Table Rule 5- As the Table cross-talk has been complained about and is slowing down the game play(something we all dislike) I am creating rules to help keep the issue down. I will try and lead with the carrot and see if that works! The new rule is this. Anyone who goes a entire session with no c...

Castle Whiterock Session 1(The Lucky Six) Our game opened with the party just entering a roadside Inn about a days ride out from The Free City of Greyhawk. The adventuring band had tracked rumors and stories of some ancient fortress being used by evil forces in this area. The Blue Frog Inn was the o...

My Pathfinder/Castle Whiterock Game
Reposting here! The guys talked me into running a Castle Whiterock game. It's the 800 page Mega-Dungeon from Goodman games. This sucker is HUGE! It's made for 3.5 but the guys really want to use Pathfinder and it's not much effort to convert so...I will use Pathfinder. Our group is Me(The DM),my wif...
