Re: Thank you for Dungeon Crawl Classics
I've never played C&C. I have little time for actual playing so when I do play I have been sticking to 3.5 (I was a late-comer to that edition). I have the 4E books and the Goodman modules, but haven't played yet. With great respect to the wonderful creativity of the writers, I haven't been blo...

Re: Thanks for the $2.00/$5.00 PDF sale!
According to RPGNow and PAizo, as long as you don't pull them, they will be able to keep them available to us buyers to download.
I still burned a copy of them to disk, but its nice to know if my house burns down I can still get them from the sites.

Re: Thank you for Dungeon Crawl Classics
I just got 53, 54, and 55 in the mail today, and Points of Light, thanks to Davemage and our Christmas exchange over at the Necromancer boards. So I'll be taking a hard look at them in temrs of use with C&C.

Re: Thank you for Dungeon Crawl Classics
@Treebore, JediOre: Thank you guys for your kind words. I know that you have a valid point because I have Castles & Crusades and played it. I like the game and find it's simple mechanisms very elegant. But I doubt that 4E adventures with their rather strict encounter design will convert easily ...

Re: Thank you for Dungeon Crawl Classics
Argamae, You should try your hand at Castles & Crusades. Then all editions of the game become valid! 8) Merry Christmas! Ain't that the truth! I am even getting some 4E DCC's for Christmas! What can I say? Despite owning pretty much 80%+ of all adventures published by anyone I still want more! ...

Hey Joe,
The question has come up on ENWorld again, the one where will the PDF's be available to us for download after December 31st. RPGNow is supposedly trying to contact you about it as well.

Thank you. I was going to order them today, but my wife wants to buy two books that should be out by next week, so I'll have to wait until then.

DCC's on Amazon?
Are any of the new DCC's available on Amazon? My LGS is once again failing to stock Goodman DCC's, so Amazon is my best alternative.

Re: What are you playing?
This 'houseruling' you speak of, is what playing the game was back in the day.... :D Oh, definitely. I actually don't mind it, provided that you have a group of players willing to roll with it. My main concern with houseruling is usually just consistency. For example, a fighter wants to scale a 20-...

Re: What are you playing?
I'm currently messing around with "Red Book" Basic/Expert D&D. It's an interesting switch from 4E. :) I've pulled out my Rule Cyclopedia book lately too... Hyb' Mines been sitting next to my computer chair for a couple of weeks now, getting picked up and read every other day, on...

Your probably right. I think I also spotted some thin foam board in a couple of places.frank5471uk wrote:I almost always use 200 gsm cardstock (which I am 99% sure equates to 110lb in the US).Treebore wrote:Oh, and what weight card stock do you use?

Re: DCC Ethos
For some reason I thought World Works was spelled with an "e".
Now I know that Castle looks familiar for a reason. Yes, Fat Dragon does nice work too, but mostly far simpler stuff than WWG does.

Heraldry
An interesting heraldry generator was posted over on Dragonsfoot dot org and I thought with all the Heraldry involved in Aeroth DCC fans may want to make use of it.

Hi jack away!
Awesome pics!
Who do you buy your buildings from? I buy most of mine from Fat Dragon Games, who has stuff in an upcoming DCC, and some stuff from World Werks. Your castle and town looks like World Werks stuff.

Re: Goodman Games and 4E
I don't know, 4E certainly doesn't look anything like classic OD&D, or even play like it. Bottom line for me is I am not excited by 4E. I haven't even found a rule I want to steal for the game I do play. I have no problem with simplicity. I quit 3E because it was too complex for my tastes. I ru...

Re: Ship Dates for 4E Modules
I have to admit I have been shocked at how many posters I have seen over the years say that the art is the single biggest factor in their purchases. Even if its color rather than B/W. I am a "content" purchaser. So even though I don't like your new cover art, as long as I like what is insi...

Re: Goodman Games and 4E
I'm curious to see how well the 4th edition rule set, as expressed in adventures, will convert to Castles & Crusades. Well, according to my CK for our 4E try out game, it will be pretty easy to convert 4E to C&C. He thinks it will be easier to convert than 3E is. He is judging based on the ...
