My rules for mithril are as follows:

It costs so much you probably can't just buy it, even if you're an elf. It's a questing thing.
Elves can use it safely.

In all other practical respects it's just like steel.

I know of people who play in Cincinnati and people who play in Richmond, but you're the first I know of in that area. You might have to recruit.

I also live in Louisville and would love to play, though I don't know if I could commit to a regular campaign.

The Metal Gods of Ur-Hadad is a DCC RPG zine published by, well, the Metal Gods of Ur-hadad.

Dark Ruins is a mini-zine by Wayne Snyder given away to people who purchased the Metal Gods zine. It's an adventure with no words.

I suspect DCC RPG Aereth and 3.5/4e Aereth are different worlds in the multiverse that are close together. There are some similarities, but also some important differences.
