Okay, so we won't know what tweaks/changes have been made to the beta due to playtesting and feedback until the final game is released. Fair enough.

Will we see the next updated draft?
Couldn't see it mentioned anywhere, so was wondering if the next draft/revision of DCC would be publicly tested again, or if it was a case of revisions being made then straight to press?

Re: Hand-Tooled (0-level) Character Sheet
Beautiful work, and much appreciated. I also second Marv's suggestion for an arrow-tracking card, if possible, please. :) To show you my appreciation, I'll even throw you a couple free rpg pdfs of my own rpgs/supplements if you want (Atomic Highway, which was nominated for the Best Rules ENnie and a...

Re: Pure Zocchi - Remove the d30?
Precision dice aren't needed. Regular dice work just fine. Heretic! Personally though, I don't use normal dice, and it seems a little odd to me that a game proclaiming the virtues of "the great mage Zocchi" would actively require the user to either make workarounds or purchase a ty...

Re: Corruption and Spell Fumble
And +d10 on making corruption a fumble result instead of automatic. +d30. If corruption is but one of the fumble options, it's still going to happen every now and again and still be flavoursome but not as apparently invasive as it is now. I like this idea better than my Luck check as it generally d...

I take it you wouldn't mind the d30 being given the boot then? Should I make a poll on the d30 question?jmucchiello wrote:It is not really needed. At the level of variability you can just as easily use a d%. The +/- 1% at that range shouldn't matter.

Pure Zocchi - Remove the d30?
Hey, So, the d30 is barely used for anything, and that combined with the facts that... a) GameScience/Zocchi don't make d30s. b) Apart from a very limited few (and quickly disappearing) precision Armory d30s, available only in two dull opaque colours (hunter green and terra cotta), there are no prec...

Re: Precision Gem d30s?
Thanks, mate, it worked that time. Not entirely sold on the Koplow d30s, I have to say, as it's the dice with the most faces that most benefit from being precision dice. Of course, I'm a fussy sod, but I'm going to hold off in the hope that Joseph can pull something out of the hat regarding precisio...

Re: Zocchi DIce Poll
Yeah, it's a rip-off; there's no way the actual P&P would be anything like that. Standard Int'l Air was just over $30, and the next two options were more expensive at $32 and $35 respectively.DCCfan wrote:YIKES $30 just to ship them! Thats crazy.

Re: Zocchi DIce Poll
That's a shame. Mind you, I just started to process the order for 3 x d14s, 3 x 16s, and 3 x d24s via GameStation and the cheapest P&P option they gave for sending nine freaking dice to the UK was $30!? I've had flipping rpgs sent Air to the UK for far less than that, and they're consider...

Re: Gamestation Dice came today and I am sad
Those d6 gambling precision dice cost $6 and up, each! Casino dice are also machined rather than molded; they're cut from blocks with precise machinery, not popped out of molds on sprues like gaming dice (including GameScience dice). The casino dice pips are then filled with plastic of the exact sa...

Re: Zocchi DIce Poll
Just got my precision dice and I'm underwhelmed. The giant chunks of excess plastic are a bit much. I don't know how these can be considered precision dice. I'm sorry but for $35 bucks I don't want to spend a bunch of time sanding my dice so they can look like crap :x . The precision made dice used...

Re: Funky Dice & Weapon Damage?
Which is why it is worth challenging his notions? The world does not need another retro-clone. Certainly not at retail prices when so many clones are free on the web. DCCRPG has to be unique. Joe already picked Zocchi dice as one dimension of uniqueness, but only halfheartedly. These requests to ma...

I got a set from Gamstation.com (Pic here http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set= ... 8a333bbfe1) All gem dice all different colors. be warned the d24 is a B***H to ink/paint But if your sure 2xd14's are all you need then your in luck these were the easiest to ink up! Be aware that it's seriously expensive though. A single d7 from thediceshoponline, for instance, costs £4.95 (not inclusive of P&P), which at the current exchange rate is $8.06 US for that one die.Stainless wrote:In Europe you can get the dice from here;

Re: Funky Dice & Weapon Damage?
I have to agree with everyone else; if you're going to use funky dice, USE funky dice.
I like the idea of using the greater range for normal weapons, but especially enjoy the idea that each +1 step on ye olde magical weapon being instead maybe a step up to the next die type.

Re: Precision Gem d30s?
Damn, that's unfortunate as I really don't want to buy some tumbled-to-death d30 from Koplow or the like. Here's hoping Joseph can convince GS to run off some d30s, or someone else to do the range of precision dice.

Precision Gem d30s?
Well, the game is winning me over, and I was extremely sceptical r.e. the dice to say the least. Now, I've pared down what Zocchi dice I'd actually buy to a couple d14s (frankly, I'd rather roll that and halve the result instead of buying that godawful d7), d16s, d24s, and d30s, but there's still th...
