Hey Dan,

Do you go to GenCon? If you are going this year come join the Xcrawl tournament, or hook up with us for one of the after games.

hope to see you,

2nd exception (at least in my world): a 'Heel' character would try to loot a bad guy. Not every one, but if there was a chance to really increase his rep.... well thats what heels do. :) I had one who chopped off the horns of a bad guy who was down... but not dead. then he mounted them on his helm!...

Well I had an idea for an adventure I've never got around to using that you might try out. An ancient lich has become a huge fan of the game and has decided to run his own crawl in the underdark. He has arranged to kidnap a number of teams for his crawl, and has mystically hacked the transmission. ...

You are 100% Correct - Xcrawl does not allow looting of the bodies. IRL its just like you said - players would get way too powerful way too quickly. There is just too much magical equipment for them to walk away with. In the "reality" of the game this is an asthetic concern - nobody watchi...

Re: I do have a campaign question.

Ok a couple of them actually.... 1) when a group of crawlers. Conquer a room, and the treasure "pops" up. I have played it like Monty Hall..For victory over the Flim-flam room of death. The crawler a Lito-Fray masterwork paring knife. Suitable for cutting the cheese for that intimate nigh...

Russell, Xcrawl writer/ creator Brendan LaSalle here. Hell yes! I would be extremely interested in trying Xcrawl with a different rules system - set it up and If I can find the time I will definately play. My group and I considered trying it with Fantasy Hero, and actually made up d20 modern charact...

I did all the monster, NPC, and PreGen stats for this adventure, and I can tell you, it's a bit of a meat grinder, even for epics. I would use the PreGen PCs as a guide for choosing equipment, and not use the item limits stated in the ELH. BD

Re: What do you want to see next?

How about a Dungeon Crawl Classics/XCrawl crossover? You could use the DCC brand to promote XCrawl and come out with a D&D module that involves the PCs getting transported (Via time jump/magic/planar travel/whatever) into an XCrawl event. Duane Waldrop and I had lunch yesterday and had a grand ...

Question for the writers/ developers/ artists/ cartographers

Hey all,

"So what do you do?"

Do you have a hard time relating what you do to civilians? Do you find yourself explaining what a role-playing game is again and again?

just curious.

It would be cool if the Paper Golem could refold itself as a move action in combat and recombine itself in new forms - a swan, a dragon - things that would give it different abilities.

Faveorite Xcrawl imported monsters:

Wicker Man

Rancor

Minor Death (updated from the AD&D DM Guide)

Hey Raptor, First of all were talking about your home campaign - make it as much fun for yourself and your players as you can. If you and your players would like to include psionics then by all means add them. Generally, Psionics are usually a big no in Xcrawl - they just don't fit in with the genre...

Classic moments? Absolutely. Qunitillius of the Surgical Strike casting shatter on the yoke of a chariot, causing the horses to drag the driver thirty yards across the astroturf. Ouch! SpellReaver (also SS) blowing all my poor, poor hobgoblins to bits on his very first action of the game. Huro, star...

Sure thing! The first Xcrawl release from Goodman Games is written by the man himself, Brendan LaSalle. It will be the complete Necromerica crawl, the same one that was run (in part) as the Xcrawl tournament moduel at Gen Con 2004. It'll be available at Gen Con. And we'll have more after that, thou...
