Re: Free RPG Day
I'll be running 4 games at the Free RPG Day at a FLGS in Charlotte, NC this saturday. As a GM, I've taken the 4 modules home to prepare them, and I've had some premiums picks on things I wanted. I grabbed a copy of Punjar. I won't tell anything, but this seedy town as some kind of Freeport flavor, b...

The Heroes Arise
Cool, another box set, and I jave none of these modules
That is so great.
But there is no dates on the Coming soon products, can we have some info so that my beloved FLGS can pre-order it?

Re: 4E DCC
I really hope that you will be able to produce 4th edition material for GenCon, because WotC people said that they want third party release only for october this year to be sure that people would have enough time to produce quality material for their game. I hoped that I could get my hands on some b...

Re: Please post experiences in Actual Play!
I'd love to hear about your first games using the Eldritch Role Playing system. How did your players take to it? Was there anything that caused particular confusion, or did the first session go smoothly? For those who don't have the game yet, we are still waiting on the quickstart, which should now...

yeah... From what i can tell the real reason they are putting it out is to make money since a lot of people are reacting very badly to 4th ed. I hope they want to make money. When you see what happended to WEG... They are not here to live on fresh air :) There seems to be a market. People want to g...

It's strange to have a contest where you win the core book, but where you NEED the core book to participate... But other than that, the site is nice. I've told about the game at my FLGS, and he will order a couple of them as soon as they will be available. Hyb' Perhaps the quickstart rules will hav...

On the contrary... I think the decision makes perfect sense. As soon as 4th Ed is out, you can bet that WOTC won't be printing anymore of the 3.5 books (if they haven't stopped already). They're just making sure that their is some sort of rule book which is in print for their endeavors. ;) M Sure, ...

Well, the trouble (IMHO) is that it's not 3.5, but closer to 3.75. That reduces its appeal to me. That is exactly what I was thinking. I am one the guys that think DD4 will be fun to play. I don't give a d... that it is called DnD or whatever. I like the rules they have proposed so far. But the ide...

I came a little bit after the war was over, but I finally got my box and it's incredible. All this backstory about the building of this behemoth is really interesting. And I'd love to hear more about the gazetteer. How did you turn the few paragraphs of DCC #35 into this 56 page book? And the relati...

That's a glowing review, Hybban, thanks! I'm glad Castle Whiterock lives up to your expectations and the sticker shock! When you start running it for your group, feel free to post some Story Hour write-ups...it's a lot of fun seeing how different parties interact with our setting, and the different...

This might be an ambitious question, but any idea what other DCC's are set fairly close to Whiterock's location? On the map of the Kingdom of Morrain Gazeteer, the DCC #19 is shown (The Volcano Caves, level 7-9). Then there are a lot of tie-ins with other DCCs in CW. It could be easy to use these t...

It's like stepping back to the good old days when a campaign was written to be played, and not just to be a good read- although I've only read a few pages I've got enough plots and plans to run a full campaign already! Looking forward to having CW serve as a setting/campaign base for the next coupl...

I've registered to the board mostly for this message : THANK YOU! I've been buying a lot of DCC modules lately (paper and/or pdf) and I've bought the pdf of castle whiterock last week. It's incredible, it's exactly how a uber dungeon must be. Being far from my friends (I'm a french in the US), I'll ...
