My 4E DCC Adventure Path
This will probably require lots of adventure writing (changing all the monsters/traps and treasure), but the adventure should be fun! I think that my Punjar will be more suitable for Paragon adventurers, as it's a place difficult to live in, and the dangers will be real! And you can see that I've be...

Re: Free RPG Day
OK, I finally took time to read the gazeteer. This is a really good job. Simple, direct to the point, giving lots of ideas for sub/major quests alongside the DCC that will be released. The layout is really good too. I had really wicked idea with the prison. A familly member of one of the PC has been...

Re: Aereth and 4E
Yeah - I agree. Someone has gone down and started making death saves in every battle our party has been in so far in our 4E game (tonights our 4th session). No actual deaths yet, but we always feel like we are in danger. I love that - makes for a much better game. jason First serious 4E games last ...

So I, and other nosy inquiring minds want to know exactly how Goodman Games is selling before October 1st. Just remember that in Joseph message there was: I generally don't discuss business in public forums Which means that we must be happy to know there will be early release, but we'll have to wai...

Re: Finally: New DCC releases!
I know I'm biased, but I am very pleased with how Dragora's turned out. It is just as old school as the best of the DCCs, but definitely has its own feel. I hope you give it a look. (Aeryn "Blackdirge" Rudel is the primary reason it came out so good. His 4E monsters are just *sweet.* I lo...

Every other sunday, I play in a 3.5 campaigns that started with Shatered Gates of Slaughterguard and is now in Expedition to Castle Ravenloft (Barovia is a blast...). Every Other Saturday, I play the 3.5 version of the Dragonlance campaign, the original, not the War of Soul ones. Every Wednesday, I ...

In France, living in Paris, I was ill almost everyday of the year. Flu, Asthma, red rash on the skin, all the skin and respiratory deseases that come together. Now that I've moved in Charlotte, NC, I fell so much better. But everybody is telling me that in 1 or 2 years, the allergies will be back wi...

Re: Goodman Games and 4E
From my understanding, fans can post all they want. It's the publishers who are barred upon pain of losing their license to publish 4E-compatible stuff. HOWEVER, there is a clause about fan-made sites. We'll see if Goodman Games forums fall under it. Let's say I create a fan site, if the au...

Re: Goodman Games and 4E
My thoughts? Forget all about your older material and open your pocketbooks for new gaming goodness  I won't forget the old material, it was soooooo good :) I'll end up using that with C&C, or I'll make my own adaptation for 4th Ed, meaning: I keep floor plans, basic ideas (monster roster...

Re: Goodman Games and 4E
RE: C&C. From my read of the GSL and other, more knowledgeable folks interpretation of it, don't expect to see DCC conversions to C&C in the future. GG would need to create a whole new C&C product line and walk carefully to keep both it and 4E distinct and separate. As for your FLGS, it'...

Re: Goodman Games and 4E
So now that the GSL have been released, can we have an official answer as to the future of the C&C modules? Will there be conversions of the 3.5 DCC? I know that in my FLGS, they will be pissed if they had to get rid of the dozens of DCC modules they still have on their shelves...

Re: Question: Whiterock PreGens
Hybban has the right of it (as well he should since he's our newest Tournament Judge!)... Thank you! And I must admit that I'm not a 3.5 fan nor a good judge for rule in that system (which is probably why I did good with 4th edition rules). Before, I used to play DCC with C&C, now it will be wi...

Re: Question: Whiterock PreGens
I don't think it says that you can modify above the max of 3+level. It's true for the ranks, not for the skill total. It says in the skill chapter of the PHB (p 61, I almost quote from my french PHB, but I found my american one...) that the skill modifier = skill rank + ability modifier + miscellan...

Re: Question: Whiterock PreGens
Hi there, I was looking over the really neat Castle Whiterock pregenerated characters earlier and had a question. These characters all seem to have skill ranks, that by my reading, exceed the limits of 1st level characters. On page 61 of the PH it says that you can only have as many ranks in a skil...

I think that 4th ed adventure are easier to create on every level. It give more time for the authors to polish the stories, the background, the kewl powers and so on.
