[twap] Much obliged. I pitched the concept back in the day, but Mr. Stroh spearheaded the actual project.Whoever thought up this product gets a hi-5 from me.

Re: Year Six Tournament: Scroll of Ruin
PART THREE: THE EFENDI The Dabistan Rassad featured a unique spire, the Bridge to the Heavens, built to house an observatory the likes of which has never been duplicated. From this height, the learned of that bygone age contemplated the stars as they wheeled in their orbits. It was said of these ast...

Those maps are nothing short of amazing. Made me want to bust out my old copy of Nobunaga's Ambition.
Great, great stuff.

Thank you, Gnome Boy, for making a choice. A choice to care about giant aquatic sea monsters and what they mean to our environment, our planet, and for XP gain. A choice to ignore the deafening silence of non-sea drake modules, a choice to stand up and say, "I want to fight and possibly kill gi...

But sometimes, there's that witch out in the woods, and if you don't so something about her, well, what she's doing is going to have a vast and horrible impact on the world. Dealing with her is the one thing that needs doing. I trend toward "free will" kinds of games. I present options th...

My guess is that they'll be running the tournament that they've already written (and had intended to run). That tournament - Test of the Gods - will see print in a slightly-different form. The print copy of Warbringer's Son (when it comes out) contains some behind-the-scenes info on why the tournam...

PART TWO: DABISTAN RASSAD The nobility of Abylos valued higher learning for its sons and daughters, and many schools flourished during the days of the empire. The Dabistan Rassad was considered by many to be the greatest of these seats of learning, where alchemy, astrology, history, logic, mathemati...

That's pretty awesome! Nice hook....the somewhat insane Half-Orc Sorceror who believes that Castle Whiterock is his ancestral home and is intent on collecting 'rent' from the monstrous inhabitants.

Just throwing this out there:
I've met a few member's of N'Haaa-aua's group, and they're cool. They also playtest for me sometimes, and they're top-notch.
If I wasn't significantly south and west of them, I'd jump on it.

Up at the top is a stickied-and-locked thread that will go into the backstory of this year's DCC Open Tournament...this is merely going to be an expansion of the information the heroes will already know at the beginning of the tourney.

Year Six Tournament: Scroll of Ruin
PART ONE: ABYLOS DREAMS South and east of the Northlands is a land that has slumbered for generations, but once the world shook beneath the tread of its armies, and once the people of less-civilized lands shivered in fear at the might of its wizards. The sprawling cities and majestic temples of Abyl...

Haven't forgotten, just got wrapped up with LAST year's manuscript, my annual week-long camping trip, and some stuff I can't talk about yet.
By next Wednesday, I'll post a new thread that gives out some backstory to the Year Six Tournament.

Or maybe we can talk someone into doing a monthy update on what is coming? Maybe a back story? Interesting...that act...

Re: Late DCC's
About a year ago, a buddy of mine in Jersey showed me a battered old videotape he had with some HR Pufnstuf, Sigmund and the Sea Monsters, Lidsville, Electra Woman and Dyna Girl (which had a KICKING theme song!), and Bugaloos on it.
You're right...some of that would fit in a Monster Manual.

If you would have budged on the full-color Smurfette centerfold, the project would have been a go. It wasn't me, it was her agent. He kept insisting we do it, and I was like, "Dude, maybe back in the 80's, but now? Seriously?" (sigh) I guess my dream of a massive battle between the Gummi ...

Thanks for the nod to "Old Feodol's Basement"!
As it turns out, I drew my master maps for that adventure (and all my submissions for The Adventure Begins) in Dundjinni. It was right after I got the program and I was crazy-excited to play with it. Gotta say, yours look better!

Fenk positioned himself in front of the cyst blocking the cyst with his towershield... Aw yeah! I love tower shields, and it seems like nobody ever uses them. Did you let the heroes take the Tower Shield Mastery feat from Castle Whiterock ? The battle in area 6-2 was also very good, since the group...

Excellent. That's a great twist!Funny enough, the characters in my CW campaign have been hired by a company called 'The Pack of the White Wolf'. If seems that a mercenary company had some trouble and and a split. Of course, for now, the company knows nothing about a Black Pack.
