Re: Castle Whiterock milestone

The latest victim: Knightshade, CN Human Rogue 11. Slain by Ilyanassa's wail of the banshee. Did I mention that Dadlen, Edward, Kevin, and Knightshade were all played by the same person? He's onto his 5th character now (Brought in Bristle, a half-orc druid), everyone else is still on their 1st (thou...

Narborg question (Whiterock spoilers)

If the walls of Narborg are warded against Teleport, then presumably they'd be warded against Dimension Door, right?
And presumably the Master Wizard has to go outside of Narborg to cast scrying on the party.

Re: Castle Whiterock milestone

No character deaths for months, and then 3 in 3 weeks. What's going on?

Thanatos, Half-elf Cleric of Madrah 11.
Slain by Gora-Khan (the new guardian of area 10-1, the players turfed him out of Koborth's tomb). Only with the longsword unfortunately.

Slain by the death gaze of the bodak that Wrath turned into.

[Evil laugh]

In my Sunday night campaign, the group have been playing through DCC 14, Dungeon Interludes. They kind of stopped once they got to the Defiled Sanctuary, though. They had cleared out the shrine, all except for Dread Watcher and his statues. They had a skirmish against him and ended up running away, ...

One more for the list of obituaries:

Wrath, as above.
Took one look at the advanced bodak and dropped dead.

Re: Castle Whiterock milestone

Hmm, the actual date may be mid-July rather than late June.

Anyway, here's a question: in what book would I find the Lore Master and Seer feats that Geviss Ereluc has?

Castle Whiterock milestone

SPOILERS obviously. I'm not sure of the exact date, but round about now is the 1st birthday of the Castle Whiterock campaign I run (using the Pathfinder beta rules) and I thought it should be marked in some way... In the group at the moment: Marcus Tiberius, Human LG Paladin 10 of Justicia Timmykins...

Re: What are your top ten DCC modules?

Yeah, I'm going to miss that character. You know the tapestry depicting the White Roc in the Cloud Giants' tower? He took it, cut a hole in it and wore it as a poncho.

Re: What are your top ten DCC modules?

DCC 49 Palace in the Wastes, DCC 30 Vault of the Dragon Kings, DCC 19 The Volcano Caves Haven't actually run these yet, but they all look like a blast. DCC 14 Dungeon Interludes My Sunday night group is on the second part of this now, having messed up the first part (see my separate post on this top...

Re: DCC #14 anecdote (Spoilers)

I should also mention I was very impressed by one of my group who, as a player, could tell that saving and healing the badger was obviously the right thing to do in order to succeed in the scenario. But his CN rogue (who had the highest initiative) didn't really care about the badger, so he just sto...

DCC #14 anecdote (Spoilers)

I recently ran one of my groups through the 1st part of DCC 14: The Eye of the Night and I thought I'd share something that happened. The group had rescued Thistle the druid from the pit of endless rats and he asked them "Have you seen Snarl, my badger friend?" Duncan Grim, the half-orc fi...

Re: Scaly God question (spoilers)

Hey Rick, here's another question - does Ssustre have a viper rod because it's a powerful weapon that (theoretically) the PCs can't use? It's just that there are a couple of evil characters in my group and one in particular would I'm sure be very happy to get his hands on it. I'm thinking of maybe m...

Re: Scaly God question (spoilers)

Thanks for the advice. I figure a trog can take one hand off the weapon as a free action, and put it back on as a swift action, enabling it to do club and claw when full attacking. Opens the door for the warforged greatsword fighter to do the same thing though... Another question - the stealth sword...

Scaly God question (spoilers)

Mountain troglodytes are listed as having a full attack of a greatclub, a claw, and a bite. Can one use a natural attack in combination with a two-handed weapon?

Re: DCC#26 The Scaly God

Had this module for over a year, and I can't wait to run it. We're just about to finish the Lost Vault of Tsathzar Rho, then the heroes will go through Secret of the Stonearm... then they'll face the Scaly God.

Re: Storytime - Secret of the Stonearm

Well, we had another session of this. The characters explored the lab, and then recruited a female drow fighter, Sp'tn to help with the muscle when they travelled by leyline to the jungle. Unfortunately they got TPKed by the spider wight. Disorre and Sp'tn got truned into wights, and Lyrus and The S...
