That's far out. I especially like the idea of crystalline "blood vessels" growing underground, tracing the path of the ley lines. That's pretty cool.

Re: Complete Guide to Beholders

umm....where is the Eye of the Deep (seaholders)? :D Man, you're really into the aquatic thing, aren't you? :) The writers tried to avoid a "beholder variants X, Y, and Z" approach to the book, instead crafting it in the context of the Dominions and their philosophies. If you have an idea...

Aboleths... maybe, especially since we have Boundless Blue now. AS for d20 modern, and future, I haven't yet heard any ideas for those systems that have blown me away. But who knows...

Re: Received!

I've read that you have other 'complete guides' in the works and will await their avalibility eargerly. One monster I think deserves a guide in all honesty is the Rakshaka (sp). The persian demon is versitle and useful in many situations. Speak of the devil... we actually have a CG to Rakshasa in t...

Since 1998? Wow, that's a long-running campaign! You should definitely check out Monsters of the Boundless Blue. :)

Yes, more are in the works! The next one to come out is an updated version of the CG to Drow, which doesn't really count as "more." However, the drow book was never released to stores, so this updated version will be the first available to retailers. After that, there are four more current...

Coming soon: Morningstar, Underdark, Boundless Blue, EN Mag!

We have a lot of great books at the printer right now, so here's a quick update on what's coming your way soon. MORNINGSTAR, the intriguing fantasy campaign setting that was a semi-finalist in the WotC Setting Search, is physically in my hands as I type this. It will be in stores on approximately Oc...

Glad it works for you! I've actually thought about doing a "Dinosaur Directory" -- compiling all the dinosaur stats into one book, perhaps after all the supplements are out. Including stats for juveniles and babies is a good idea, too. Maybe someday... :)

Hmmm, that's an interesting question! The Monster Manual has rules for sizing creatures up or down. You could use those to get smaller versions of the existing stats... but their rules are fairly complicated. The easiest, fastest way I can think of -- assuming you just need some quick stats for a ga...

Hmm... tough questions! I've never written a novel, but I've written some pretty long pieces of fiction (novellas) which start to approach the same scale. If I were you, I'd focus the novel squarely on the characters and plot. Keep the world as what it really is: background. I just read Jean Auel's ...

I know what a crawdad is. I cooked 'em before. Family comes from the whole southeast area o' the states. But where the heck did the term come from? I called them "crawfish" as a kid, and didn't learn "crawdad" until I heard it used once by my grandpa (who was from the Ozarks). M...

Would this be Dungeon Crawl Classics #3: The Mysterious Tower? The Mysterious Tower is an ancient wizard's tower encased by an invulnerable force field that pretty much sits in the middle of nowhere. (In other words, it's easy to place in any campaign.) The ghost of the old wizard is trapped with t...

Let me get this straight. You made a module that was written by Dave Arneson and had a cover by Erol Otis AND I CAN'T BUY IT?!?!? Are you guys allergic to money or what? This should have sold great to old grognards like myself. Well... uh... sorry? :( It was supposed to be a convention specia...

Re: Answering the questions...

Q: Do dinosaurs have red meat, or are they like birds? Or is it something in between? A: Not to go against Mr. Goodman, but stegosaurus is described in one of the books as "the new white meat." That said, I would think they would have meat like alligator or snake. But red meat sounds good...

Well, scientifically speaking, I'm no better than the next guy in answering these questions. But in Broncosaurus Rex, they DEFINITELY have red meat. Otherwise, the Bronco Burgers and Iguanochomps just wouldn't taste right. :)

I won't have a booth there this year, though I'll probably come by to check it out one of the days. Staying at the booth all day last year caused me to miss both the midget wrestling and the Klingon Beauty Contest... :)
