I'd suggest DCC #0 -- Legends are Made, not Born. Just use your own PCs.

It would be a wee bit under powered, but I always think that is a good thing for new players.

How does this relate to Gary's production of the Castle Zagyg series being produced by Troll Lord Games?

Okay so far. I'd suggest letting the PCs earn experience points every time you're group breaks up for the week or simply before attempting the next level. I wouldn't want to tackle DCC#1, or for that matter ANY DCC, with four characters of the recommended levels unless all four where in at or near t...

It was a swell module and it was Ragnar1965's first attempt at DMing. He did a good job of it.

As soon as work calms down I'll get to Wednesday's game day which is the last day we have adventured in this module. I see lots of hits on this thread and would love to hear from anyone who has adventured through what we've explored thus far. Were your experiences similar? Please don't give anything...

Harley, I've held a grudge against Apple since the company sued Atari into bankruptcy back in the late '80s.

I'll take your word for the program, but I'll not have one of THOSE computers in my home!

I bow to his over-the-top approach. I thought I was excessive. I own everything through DCC #29 (one copy each) except 3.5 and 4.5. I love reading them like novels. My mind's eye sees my friends PCs from over 25 years of D&D travel through the module. If I get to DM them, thats a bonus. (By then...

We don't deal in that aspect of the game in my group. That said, here's my suggestion. I'd have all links to the clerics deity severed. The first adventure I'd have the PCs attempt in this new world would be one to have the cleric find a new deity. Perhaps the party could find an ancient temple long...

Tuesday night!

We had a short run this night as the group we are in training with went out to see "Jazz-in-the-Park" and to have dinner at Buzzard Billy's. Very good Red Beans and Rice! The PCs emerge from the fight with the undead owlbear worse-for-the-ware. The party is getting low on cures. The wand o...

Can anyone shed light on this? Was I dreaming?

I'd have the badger in full health and ready to find its master.

I'd also have two or three farmers (1-lvl commoners) who live nearby want to help out.

A party of nothing but magic-users sounds great. They just need a little help until they can start casting fireballs and lightning bolts.
