Re: will there be a Book of Patrons?
I realize my comment may be interpreted as excessively harsh, but I do stand by my opinion. On the other hand, I don't mean to be a jerk about someone with a disability: 1) I myself have a mild "number" dyslexia, where I occasionally switch digits in my mind; 2) I can't fathom having diffi...

The Buffalo NY area is such a void for good gaming unless you want to sit at a Magic table and smell everyone's armpits! I was totally just going to post this! Just for fun go type Buffalo NY into the FreeRPG day event map and take a look. Its a giant dead zone. I live in St. Catharines, ON, ...

Re: Mystery Map Adventure Design Competition
Having a hotlink to the map at full resolution (or just bigger) would be useful....although if Joseph is going to put it on the main page soon I suppose it can wait.
It's just that the map is so small it's tough to make out details.

There are others who feel your pain. I live in the US, about 7 miles from a pretty major RPG store, and they refuse to sign up for / sponsor Free PG Day. It's pathetic.Dagonazrael wrote:I am in the UK and no-one for miles around is participating in free RPG day.

Story? That actually happened [/b]. Dude, kissing books is totally understandable and completely acceptable in my household. That's alright. Full disclosure? I don't even have a gaming group right now so "playtesting" would have involved me sitting in a room by myself setting up combats against....myself, roleplaying against....myself.Raven_Crowking wrote:So this might not get written until the autumn.

Re: The Kickstarter madness has me thinking about dice
If a Kickstarter like this were to become available, I'd 150% contribute to it. In fact, I'd likely get a few sets, just so I have my own "exclusive DM dice" and the peons....err, players...can have their paltry little TPK soon-to-die dice.

Re: Review: Doom of the Savage Kings
I wrote it with visions of a sheer pit, slick with muck. Literally impossible for all but an insanely talented (or skilled) climber to free climb without tools. Fair? No. Just as not every fight is winnable, not every skill check is make-able. I couldn't love a man, as a man, in a heterosexual way,...

Joe and I have worked pretty closely to both keep ourselves entertained and reward the perceptive. Seriously, Doug...your art 100% rules. "Awesome-balls" as they new saying goes. Words actually can't express how vital your art is to this game, but your pieces are absolutely essential to m...

I'll also say this: the Teardrop...that blue star that follows the cracked Moon across the sky...is in actuality the remains of a space station. I like that you've merged linguistic 'themes' in the names. There is absolutely the sense that Shanthopal is a Mongol / Asian (China/Japan) / Egyptian / Greek / Lovecraftian land, based on the listed names of the gods. At times, however, there seem to be almost too much linguistic variation to be fo...

they align themselves with supernatural Chaos Lords at high levels Not to be pedantic, but....your characters are low-level. They need to prove themselves worthy of the Chaos Lords before they reach those high levels. What better way to do that than start practicing early? Just sayin'.

Re: Alignment problems in "Sailors", a little help. . .
Also let's not forget, that Chaos is chaotic... Infighting is quite common on their side. Exactly. I seem to recall the Planescape faction the Xaositects randomly fighting with/for and against members of their own faction. " The trick for a Xaosman, of course, is to become at one with the diso...
